Me too! but if you want a helicopter, your better off with Springer! as your getting another extra alt mode(car) thrown into the bargain.

So I went on a grand tour of shops at the weekend and bought... NOTHING!

Toys R Us Chatham - Nothing new to report - plenty of CW stuff and RiD, no wave 2. Still had some Sunstorm.
Toys R Us Lakeside - Much less of anything good!

B and M Lakeside - No Generations as previously reported BUT they did have the Kre-o Devastator / Ironhide pack for £20. I walked around the store for a good 20 mins with that before I finally decided I didnt need it.

Smyths Lakeside - good amount of RiD, CW including legends, loads of Rescue Bots including Optimus Primal for half price (Bought for God sons birthday present!) The also had Rhinox and Whirl on the Generations voyager front.

Home Bargains - Nothing much but had one lonely Beast Hunters Bludgeon.

Lastly - Sainsbos had wave 2 RiD Warriors, a load of CW including all Legends.

Ok, might have to try mine - what are people's thoughts on Powerglide? :-?
My personal compulsions are telling me that Superion is not complete without the little gunbot, but I dunno. Thoughts?

Just been into Smyth and they have all wave 1 cw deluxe figures reduced to £11.99 and Voyager prime at £16 99 - Silver bolt hasn't been reduced sadly. Got me some bots :)

I only have Powerglide and not Superion but he is a great little figure. Bought him (and Bombshell) on a whim and was happy with both.

Powerglide does nicely finish off Superion, although my Drag Strip has a loose hole (oo er!) which means he swings about a bit. But that wont be an issue when Drag Strip gets swapped out for Air Raid... As soon as I can get my mits on Air Raid.

I just picked up the Aerial Bots today with them being on offer in Smyths, but totally forgot to get Powerglide. As for Air Raid - I have no idea when he'll surface again anywhere - Fingers cross Kapow get him back in soon.

Powerglide is essential, he's the one who has to tow Alpha Bravo to wherever Superion's needed. :P

Btw anyone know when The Entertainer will be getting those Thrilling 30 Generations Voyager Class figures in? I know they're on their website under out of stock or some such thing! but it's weird how B&M have had those out for weeks now......& The Entertainer haven't bothered their ass to get them in store yet! I just wonder what the hold up is?

I assume the Entertainer may be getting American stock with them being a US Toy store, or it could be that they were getting them and then the stock was cancelled in favor of RID transformers Toys and the place-holders on the site haven't been removed.

I'm not holding out hope for them getting them, but if they do I'll be picking a few up :)

If their business strategy is modelled anything like TRU, they never actually will get them in stock, other than limited supplies for physical shops.

If the HQ has ordered in the line, but not in big enough numbers, the Out of Stock label is an east loophole out of having to fulfill the potential demand. Plus, these are almost over a year old figures - which is shocking anyway.

Well funnily enough TRU was one of the stores that had those figures in when the Thrilling 30 Generations line first came out in other countries a year & a half ago!(or whenever it was) strange now that TRU in the UK haven't bothered to pick this line up! since they are out there! albeit in other stores.

My pile of loot shipped recently from BBTS recently and, wow, I got sc-rewed on customs. One of the smallest orders I've had in recent years, but by far the highest customs. I hadn't realised we also get charged VAT on the shipping and insurance cost!

I think I'm done with BBTS and in fact any US based retailer now, the convenience factor of preorders and POL is just not worth it.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the order and how much was the customs in the end? Isn't it normally done on size rather than value? Not sure, never bothered with anything from US before.

From my own experience, Import VAT is charged at 20% on packages coming from outside the EU, with a value of over £15. I think there's a higher rate for stuff that's above a higher limit, but I'm not certain.
Oddly though, sometimes despite a clearly stated value on the box, HMRC haven't bothered charging me for things?
Either the regulations have changed or they don't actually check every single box... :-?
Ah well, I'm not going to complain about having to pay less :P

$630 worth of stuff (about £400), £160 worth of charges.

(Unfortunately it just spilled into a second box so I got whacked with parcelforce's charges twice. Some of it was import duty as well as vat.)

Oh nice!
And almost surprisingly for TRU, they're at the lower price to boot :D
