United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Personally, I don't have a problem with Blackout. In fact, I love him. The only gripe is moving his panels that hold his shoulders. Getting them over the tab that locks them in place is a little iffy. As for the automorph problem, I found out how to do it without having to take him apart. When you swing his leg section up, you then push it into the main cockpit at a slight diagnolly up angle while keeping the legs parralel to the tail section. If that makes sense. Barricade I'm dissapointed in. Poor articulation, difficult to stand. Still nice to look at, but he can't get the kind of poses Blackout can. None of the others interest me. Except possibly 08 BB and the tow truck.
Must resist urge to buy plastic crack. GRRR!!
A G2 you say? That's good to hear. Hopefully the one near mine has them in as well then. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, Blackout seems to have gotten a lot of bad press put after i figured out what was going on with his automorph I've had no real problems with him. OK, he's a little short but he looks badass, is crazy posable and comes with a giant pizza-cutter of doom. What's not to like? (Ok, he can't see anything that isn't right in front of him, but that's what waist articulation is for).
Plus, deluxe Scorponok is crazy fun to just run over flat services with his claws spinning. Might have to do a photoshoot of him with some space wolves (since I have no imperial guard, and they're about the right size). Connect him to Blackout and you have Flying Doom(tm).

Went to the local co-op department store today & was quite supprised. They normaly have very little in the way of TFs, but they currently have loads of concept BBs, Arcees + the G1 re-paint Starscream & Rescue Ratchet.

Hmm, I know I said the Automorph was shite (and a cuase of most of his problems), but thats most of the automorph gimmicks are shite.
The rest of the toy is ok. Worth the price of a Voyager? That, im not so sure of.
Its not only the basic designs that are annoying me with the movie toys, its the quality of em. Perhaps cuase my first fully fledged line after starting collecting was Cybertron, I have become used to well designed, good looking and fun transformers, that are a real joy (by and large) to pose. Apart fro mthe real rears, NONE of the movie toys fill all those parameters, and most fall short of most of them.
Mind the movie line is the first line I havnt bought any Japanese version of. In Cyb/GF the Japanese versions tended to have the better paint jobs. But honestly, most of the Japanese ones are basically US ones with a sticker on the box.
But the biggest thing I miss is walking into TrU, looking at all the tfs and just being spoilt for choice of ones I really want. Then walking out and not being able to wait till I got home to open em. Last tf I bought (Swindle) I didnt open until after I opened a packl of those 3d cards at home.
And Man United is where it's at, who the hell do you suport?

Doin a fine job of lookin after ya aren't I Tangent?
I'm gonna buy pretty much all the movie toys. I likes em.
Good to know Rescue Ratchet is out here. Does this mean we may get G1 Jazz too?
Me bro came home with Astrotrain last night. Love him!
Shame about the easy-to-peel paint, but ah well. Rest of him is damn cool.

Hitting them in the weapons will really help.
If we all buy more weapons than we need as we progress up the levels, then give them out to troops, then there'll be less round for autobutts to nick.
That and other things.
I really want that robo parrot now.

All the movie toys are ugly as hell, but that's the fault of the movie not the toys. However I've found that most of the toys are very interesting. They have good transformations and posability. Although their robot modes are ugly they alt modes are almost without exception, excellent.
Here's some of my thoughts on the movie line:
This might suprise some, but I like Swindle quite a lot. I know he has a CCTV camera for a head, but he is a fun little toy. I like seeing sports car decepticosn as there are so few of them (Battlechargers, stunticons and G2 Stormtroopers but few others).
Despite technically ticking all the boxes I was underwhealmed by Blackout. His transformation is quite simple and gimicks aren't that interesting either. I don't feel he justifes being double the price of the IMO better deluxe class.
Voyager Prime is a decent figure and one of the best medium sized primes released, better then Classics Prime except for one thing... He is only ruined by that damned movie design. By trying to copy his overcomplicated movie design this figure has ended up with ugly overlong legs and a rubbish face.
Bonecrusher OMG the ugliest one of all, but for some reason reminds me of BW spittor, which is a figure I do actually like. BC's an odd figure and I'm not sure if I like him of not.
Brawl is interesting to transform and apart from his head isn't too bad to look at in robot mode. What lets him down is his damn arms that won't stay attached to his shoulders and want to flop down by his sides.
My advice to everyone is to go for the real gear figures as I'm a big fan of them and they are the cheapest figures to buy anyway! I love their G1 objectformer homage and they don't suffer from moviedesigitis, a condition infecting so many figures these days.

Arrrr.
Truly beautiful.
Sometimes I wish I had a collection like that. But then I think- what would I do with them all? Would I still play with them? Would it just end up a mueseum?
I'll be happy just to own movie, classics, alternators, Titaniums, Masterpiece and Hybrid Style.
I really like Swindle. Him and Payload are splendid little devils.
I think the movie line is really quite decent. But with CLassics coming out just before; with their complex transformations, good detail and excellent QC for the most part, the movie line had a lot to live up to.

lol Matey I think yer a bit late. All the TRUs I've shipped off to are barren already.
It really annoys me. They've replaced all the decent Cybertron stuff with crappy movie role play bs.
I wish I worked at TRU. I'd get free pick at the gold sitting in the store room out back.
I swear that they're holding titaniums and alternators back there.

Actully, I tell you what movie toy DOES tick pretty much all the things I mentioned earlier (and this might proove to be more of a sirprise than HC's love of Swindle (wtf is that all about?)), FAB Brawl. Great toy. Reasonable posabilty. Fun transformation. Looks pretty good too.

Hm, got stuck with one of those models eh? Seriously though, they like to find lumpy people for these things. Not entirely sure on the reasoning behind that but it seems to be one of those universal constants. Like Swedish meatballs.
