im really glad im not an ultra magnus fan, i aint got the classics version, and have no intention of getting either that, or the upgrade kit. I do think it shouldve been limited to one purchase per debit/creditcard though, stops a bunch of tosser's ebaying them all

Indeed. The morons that already have claimed to have ordered 3 each enrage me a helluva lot.

Probably about an hour until my bro gets home. If he's not willing to help me out (which he mightn't; he can be one hell of an ass :P), I'll be sure to shoot you a PM Waaaaghlord!

Ah, but that's the magic of preorder.

If it stinks, we can cancel! 8-}

BBTS has some new shots of the armour's alt mode. It does look pretty good thus far. Wish we could see some colour shots though...

EDIT:- Aww hell to it, I can't wait. What do ya need to know Waaaaghlord?

Just that you'll be good for the cash come September. Preordering one it worked out at around £50 with the estimated shipping, although shipping might come to less per unit on two, either way I'd be looking for price of the toy at cost plus half the shipping from the US, half of any VAT that customs bang on (shouldn't be an issue as my account states that they should tick the gift declaration, but they have dropped the ball on this before) and any UK postage costs getting it to you at this end unless we can meet up somewhere for a hand off. Best guess is that you'll be looking at £50 or not much over, but I wouldn't need to see any cash out of you until later in the year anyway as BBTS don't charge their preorders until the item is ready to ship. Have a word with your bro, cheaper and easier for you if it comes direct to you without the extra stage at this end, and if that's a no go come back to me and I'll add a second one to my preorder for you.

Which Wilkinson's? So far avoided Overcast but for that price I'd pick one up.

Newport, Gwent. If there's any left when I'm next there I could send you one, Won't be for a week or so though.

Ah that far away. Thanks for the offer but I'll keep an eye out locally I think. They had quite a good range before I picked up titanium Maguns and Megatron from them, it's just finding the time to go shopping theses days.

Well just finished reading Ryan's Botcon report and the community response. Guess I should feel a little silly over the huge whack that I put out on Jizai Cyclonus last year, huh? Still, WW Grimlock. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only disappointing thing to come out of this Botcon was the lack of a Leader Lugnut. Sadly, he will be the only character I don't get.

You bought Jumpstarters?!?

With money???

Not as part of some bizzare bet or something?

...you sir are sick. You need help.

Hey, I think the Jumpstarters look cool. Besides, they feature in a story in a really old Transformers annual that my neighbour gave to me when I was five and I'm trying to collect all of the characters from that annual. Needless to say, there are a fair few :P

EDIT: On review of my post, I have taken the decision to certify myself insane.

Hey, who put teh mirror on teh interwebs? :P

Looks like we've had a bit of a switcheroo.

Anywho, just to say, the majority of the new universe figs will be mine, and my dissertation gets handed in tomorrow - WOOHOO!

MB, if you get the option of exams or dissertation in your final year, go with the exams - nothing could possibly be anymore stressful than writing a dissertation.

Cheers for the link RC - been trying to find decent pics of the Iron Man stuff as I've only got a cheap old figure on display ATM.

I have to admit I'm well happy with the Botcon showing. Even the Kmart exclusive minicons look great (if we get them over here I might have to pickup 2 sets of them as they'd make great repaint/kitbash material for micromaster/mini-con/legends scale versions of my HMW team - about 9 team mbrs reasonably covered repainting them alone.)

Is it wrong to be most excited about Legends Hound, Jazz & G2 Megs? Maybe it's because my desk at work has no TFs yet...

I wish I could spare the space for Animated UM, he looks fab on a fab stick, and dare I say it, better than the student girlies at the Uni where I now work.

Classic Prowl doesn't look quite as good as I'd like mind, but I reckon if I can get me a copy of the Botcon Evil Jazz head and a Prowl body He'd make a fine G1 Jazz.

WW Grimmy - mmmmmmmmmm! & MP Grimmy confirmed! Damn my lack of space issue! How ong doya think I 'll have to wait for MP Cliffjumper and will he just be a straight BB repaint or retooled head?

You raise a good point, I will see if my bro is up for it. He should be.

There's less chance of getting hit by customs too this way... :-?

Now for the big question--- TFsource or BBTS?

Who should I go for?

I just saw some Botcon 2008 photos. There are some pretty nice toys there, including a deluxe-sized Universe Galvatron. Although...a large number of toys, like Crankcase and Jolt, were exclusive to either Toys R Us, or Wal-Mart. There were a load of Animated toys there too, and a repaint of Fast Action Battlers Sonic Pulse Jazz in G1 Smokescreen colours, and of course, called Smokescreen and one of Claw Slash Starscream, but called Ramjet. There was a Legends Universe Onslaught too, and some Cybertron repaints, like the camoflage repaint Acid Storm, and the red Evac, Blades.
Oh, also, there was a Universe Powerglide that looked really, really cool.
