thanks dm thats quite interesting, i reckon this is the quietest ODB has been, we've lost quite a few characters here, :-(

Yea and I'm afraid that now the thread is no longer ODB the we'll loose even more.

Humor me for a little bit by letting this change do what it needs to do. It's just the title of this topic that was changed. It's not the end of the world - I promise! You guys can still be "disgruntled brits".

I made this change so that it would be easier to find this topic via the search engines. Once it works, minor changes like this will help bring about more people finding this topic, hopefully posting as well, which in turn will help all of you find more of the figures that you are looking for.

I made this same change to all of the topics in the Sightings forum. It is definitely for the better as far as the purpose of the Sightings forum. If it doesn't work in a few months, then we'll consider other options.

May I add (ODB) to the end of the topic title?

Let's not ... I want all of the titles in the Sightings section to have the same format. If we change it for one, then we'll have to start changing it for the others which defeats the whole point of this.

Don't sweat it guys. At the end of the day it's only a thread title, right? Who cares. If we cry about it we'll no longer be able to call ourselves men. Except me of course, because I am still a girlyman.

Calm down Roddy it's just a name change you can still be as Disgruntled as you want. I always thought we were called the Disgruntled Brits because of the amount of time's we've been screwed over by Hasblo. Guess I was wrong.

ok i've caught on to what everyone talking about..................grrr the title of the thread made this thread

this is poor seibertron, poooooooooooooor!!!!

does this mean we can no longer call ourselves ODB?

out of interest does anyone know what this event is? as i wasnt around for this and i'm kinda curious as its been brought upon more than one occasion

Yea well, thing is a few or was it one? Of the original ODB where on staff, something happened and the they had a fallout with Ryan, got pissed and made their own site which they called The Tavern Table or TTT for short, most of the original ODB left seibs doe to the fallout and something else a few of them also got banned so they are now all on TTT, exept for waaaaghlord.
I don't know all the details and whys and everything, all I know that I must have been around but missed it all.

Wow, that's a distorted account.
The ODB was originally a thread bemoaning Hasbro's UK distribution and pricing that derailed in to British politics/TV/news etc. that none on this board other than the half dozen or so active Brits of the time would be interested in. The thread grew so large (over a thousand pages iirc) that it was the second largest ever to grace the board, alas, some clever dick decided to wipe the whole forums without backing up the data so the original thread was lost. By the time a second thread found it's feet most of the original posters had left or been banned for whatever reasons.
The TTT had nothing to do with the ODB crew other than some of the banned members made their way over soon ater it's creation.
The TTT was created by two of the HMW mods who left the site on bad terms after disagreements with the site owner. Due to some of the ODB being members of the RDD they were friendly with the ex-HMW mods and patronised their recently opened tavern along with several other ex-seibertron mods and news crew who had also fallen out with the site owner around the same time or soon after.

Anyway, according to Argos' website they have quite a few TF discounts running now. I wish I had known about the Aerialbots set 2 weeks ago before I dropped £45 on it. :-(

Hmm, from the look of it, Darkmount(Lord Straxus) isnt that great a figure, and seems to be following a similar route as Universe Galvatron.

I'm surprised Hasbro had the balls to release it. If you think you got it bad, imagine how I feel after paying for Botcon Thrust.

Got to laugh though...

I was just pointing out that they now work out somewhat more sensibly priced individually than the near-basic price they worked out at prevoiusly. Didn't mean to get your hopes up.
