United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Has anybody ordered from Xybertoys lately? I placed an order a few weeks back that I got a paypal receipt for but no order verification from Xybertoys. I e-mailed to ask about it a week ago but have heard nothing. The site hasn't been updated in about a year, is Xybertoys still in business?

MMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe it's only a few days away. I wonder if we're going to have another idiot asking if we can go in when there's a large group of people waiting to go in again this year.
I remember that idiot we were next to eachother in the line at the front and thil little troll comes over and asked that god I wanted to mock her so bad bye saying. "Let me see a huge line of people and rope blocking the way in WTH do you think"

Hey guys, hope everybody heading to AA has a blast, really sorry I can't make it this year, have some drinkies for me. Expecting loads of pictures and semi-coherent accounts of the weekend. May you all overspend on toys and drinks and love every minute of it!

Asda Morley Sightings, ROTF Activators at about a tenner each.
Prime, Bee & Megatron in stock.
All bar Megatron looked ok but fall into that can't be bothered middle ground as they seem decent figures with good poseability but they are a little too 'grown up' for the younger audience the kiddified design is pitching them at. Mini-collider, at nearly 3 didn't seem fussed for them at all, prefering his Bumper Battlers Animated Bee or straight to Armada Deluxe-scale Prime.
Have a blast at AA all who are going!

I'm going to find the hotel in about ten minutes. Not 2 hours like last year.
I'm ready to go, with just a few more things to pack.

Yay Combiners!....oh....drones....
It doen't help that I didn't like the energon combiners hands & feet and PCCs are just too similar. With 3rd parties doing such great updates for the other combiners they just pale in comparison.
I'm more interested in the a few of PCC scout 2 packs just for the scout figures.
I'm thinking somewhere along the same lines. I like that they're combiners. Except, I don't like that they're really not. They're Transformers with boots and gloves. I'm still amazed that Hasbro is ok with taking giant steps backwards in combiner technology.* Maybe, MAYBE, if the combiner arms and legs had loads of articulation in them I could get behind the idea of no robot mode for the limbs. Maybe. But without it, I don't care how much "auto-morphing" (auto "Morphin' Time!"?) they put in, it's still half-assed compared to the very simple in hindsight (or: since I was
I do like the look of the 2 packs, and the Dinobot combiner has me a wee bit interested. I'm also curious as to the repaint potential of some of them. So far I see a G1 Menasor and G1 Devastator pack at the very least being very easy to accomplish. The question is: Will Hasbro bother to make these? and also Will Hasbro UK manage to get them here?
Sadly, I think the answer to at least one of these questions will be "no".
Meanwhile, I eagerly await news that MP Grimlock has arrived in TRU shops in the UK.
edit: * the lack of robot modes for combiner limbs is made even more laughable by the 4 alt-modes that the 2-pack Minicon's can take on. I'm not too sure if I like the clear plastic used for them, but I do marvel at the engineering.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.

Oh, to be at AA.....
For any of you in the Leeds area I dropped into TRU at Birstall and their action toy specialist (their name for him, not mine) told me that they were due to get new tfs next week, definitely generations plus maybe more. Heading over on tuesday hoping for WFC Prime and Bumblebee, will keep you posted.
Supercollider - Having got PCC Bombshock and the Combaticons I will say this. Look great combined, poseability crap (the legs on mine pop off at the slightest touch). Personally, I am pretty disappointed but that doesn't mean I won't be dumb enough to get more.

He was a wave 7 figure which has (theoretically) been and gone as the Wave 8 assortment has been spotted. I have only seen his case-mate Alliance Bumblebee once, so can only assume that they have been out "there".
Unfortunately late-wave figures do tend to ship in smaller numbers.
Try here.
Might be worth e-mailing first tho', I doubt they will have been able to update the site during AA2010.
Hope that helps.

Hi Guys,
Thought I'd mention that Smyths in Charlton has pretty much everything at the moment. All of wave 1 Generations (which was annoying as I'd just got Drift and Thrust from Kapow) for £9.99. Picked up all four anyway and kept the Kapow ones MIB.
ROTF voyagers at 9.99, although the usual bland selection of Desert Tracker Ratchets and Fallens. I think leader class stuff was on special too.
Power-core combiners are there too in all flavors. Didnt note the price as they dont really interest me.
After, what, 8 months of Toys R Us and the usual rubbish, my first trip to a Smyths almost made me pass out with joy.

Boys and Girls,
I was only ble to attend AA on Saturday but have written a review of it here in the GD forum.
If someone could expand on Sundays events that would be great. Be sure to update it with your toy-hauls too!!
