Nah, i love figures, but the vault is fantastic, kinda like a lil bible type thing.

Yeah i knew the mmo and prime were the same but didnt realise WFC came into it aswell, seeing as the bots look so different. Looks like ima have to go after the prime line to :(

i will play Universe. even if it's only as good as Star Wars Clone Wars Adventures (wars?) it will be good. worth the £0 it'll cost to play. Unless it does cost £££ in which case...hmm, it will have to be better than your average browser based "MMO"

The TF Vault is out? I might see about getting it for my birthday. I kinda grudge spending money on that instead of toys, especially with the other 2 FP Insecticons on pre-order now.

edit: was considering TFClub Devy when I thought he'd be around £300. £480+ is a bit too much for me to justify without seeing the finished project. I know I'll be kicking myself afterwards (the phenomenon known as City Commander Deja Vu) but, yeah, too much what with Generations and other 3rd Party stuff. Then again...he would fit with my Neo-G1 TFTM cast...arg!

I think the vault is one of those must have things, its like looking back on your family history or something. Its fantastic, and if anyone else remembers the toys in the 80's when they were new its a fantastic stroll down memory lane.

Is Universe gonna be PC only?

There are few details, but it's being sold as an MMO, and eing "browser based" so I suppose it won't be on consoles. Dunno whether there'll be Mac support. I don't even know if it matters what OS you're running when trying to play browser based games, so long as the browser itself is compatible.

Hello,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I was interested in Rodimus Minor's post about his local TRU stocking Generations again, so today I rushed down to one of my local TRUs (Derby), and...

... nothing. :(

They had a load of DOTM in the seasonal section at the front, along with MP Grimlock, the RTS Voyagers and one or two ROTF shelfwarmers. The TF section and the boy's endcap was more of the same, but no Generations - no RTS deluxes even.

I'll try Nottingham TRU at the weekend, but I'm not expecting much.

Rodimus, how much were the deluxes you found?

Cheers chaps.

Ego (nice name btw) welcome to Seibertron!

My local TRU had the same sort of selection last time I was in. Stuff doesn't always show up at the same time in different places. Sometimes it never shows up at all, but we can hope.

In the meantime...wooohooo! My most recent order from Kapow got here today. I have a big huge box of TFs! :D

Im having trouble with Kapow a the moment, usually they get here within 1 or 2 days of shipping, ive had one stuck in shipping since wednesday last week, and one thats been processing since thursday last week, i was told it would be sorted by this morning but still nothing. Sure it'll sort itself out so i can get my hands on the 12 tfs ive ordered.

As for Universe, does that mean i wont have to have to have some superduper pc to run it? because my laptop is nearly 3 years old and it wasnt great when i bought it.

Yup, my tru had pretty much the same, dotm wave 1, mp grimmie, and lotsa shelf warmers from ROTF and HFTD. Got my lil boy the bumblebee outfit though lol.

Only a few more left of the Generations/RTS lines i want if my orders from kapow come through, think Blurr, Warpath (which i believe Waaaaghlord is providing), Drift are the only ones im missing. Well apart from Thrust, and Dirge which like Blurr im ot too fussed about either way

On an extra point, ive just been talking to a friend, and im told TRU shrewsbury has some Generations in, Thunderwing, Skullgrin and a few others. He asked the man who worked in that isle and was told theyve been sitting in the back for months, they were waiting for the ROTF and HFTD figs to sell out. He also added theyve got rid of loads because of lack of sales......SO HOW ABOUT....

Apparantly movie figures usually sell more than alternate lines, and their theory was that if the popular figs werent selling then no others would.

HOW ABOUT RESEARCH YOU FOOLS!!!

Finally got an answer from Kapow, my dragstrip, wheeljack, thudercracker and PE Ejector should be here any day now ad for some reason the 8 pack was a preorder (Even though all the figs in it are already available lol)

Just ordered Exodus for the record too

yeah, that's hasbro's official stance too, they say that movie figures sell better so they try to put classic-ish stuff in those lines (like nest bludgeon) because really they want to get out as much classic stuff as they can, but kids don't buy that apparently...

Hey guys, sorry for the extremely long absent and not posting in here for like ages.
But your favourite Kraut is back.

Man I just realised how crazy my latest breakdown was, seriously you don't want to know how much I spent on a stupid Henkei Starscream.

But that's not the only crazy hunt I've been doing for the past few weeks, I've also hunted down reasonably priced copies of The Maxx TPB, why should I spend 70 quid if I can invest 5 weeks of searching the internet almost 24/7 for small unknown online comic stores and get them for their original price? 8-}
Yea The Maxx is awesome.

Also for the first time ever I read the Wind in the Willows, I've seen 5 different movie versions of it but it took me till now to finally sit down and read the actual book
And it's good.

Got my latest Kapow delivery. Bludgeon, Wheeljack, Fallback and HA basics Sandstorm and Thunderhead. Not a bad one in the lot of them. Bludgeon is a bit too obviously a movie toy though, and could really do with his upgraded head...you hear me HeadRobots?

The HA guys are great, as expected, see my review of Sandstorm here.

Is that RTS Fallback? I got him and brawn, only reason being who they used to be in G1. Dont like the mold at all. Is bludgeon the ROTF one? Looked at him a few times

yes, RTS Fallback and ROTF/NEST Bludgeon. Bludgeon isn't prefect, but a big upgrade on the G1 version. Fallback, well, I barely remember Outback tbh, and I only really got him cause he was on sale. Quite glad I did. He's a bit kibble-tastic in robot mode, but the legs are very posable and his guns are sweet. Probably worth the money just for those sext pistols alone. I think I may repurpose him as a Con though, since I'm a bit short on them. At the very least he's a bit of a rogue Autobot. Maybe Wreckers material, actually.

Got Cyberverse Powerglide today. Not worth the £9 it cost, its sooo tiny, smaller than a Scout(size comparison shot below).

These toys are a total rip off.

Saving so much money with DOTM, only picking up a handful of toys for this one.

yeah, I guess that's why they're not called scouts. The size works well for former minibot sized ones though I think, like powerglide and guzzle to come, it makes them bigger like they should be but not too big....I'm gonna try and get the ones I want while this tesco sale bumps em down to £4.97. That's what they're actually worth.
My tuner skids I won on ebay came today, wrapped in brown paper, the box was crushed as the postman tried to put it thru the letterbox before actually knockiing on the door to hand it to me...
The vehicle mode is the best thing about the figure, it's actually really nice, all shiny green and black detailing and the bumper stickers are such a nice touch.
The robot mode is obviously poor, he's kibbletastic, has weak knees and is fugly, but the spring loaded punch thing isn't bad. Glad I got this thing for under a fiver.

Yeah thier knocking the old Turner Skids out at Smyths for under a tenner on 3 for 2. Keep looking for a few Tommhawks and Terradrives. Might try the one up at Greenwich as that ones kida out of the way and not many people know its there.

I think Powerglide and Guzzle are all I will get from Cyberverse, the rest of the line is soo weak. Then again most of the movie lines been weak, over priced and not good value for money :(

Coming from a guy who up until these lines came out was Mr Completest thats bad.

yeah i think hasbro have suddenlly cottoned on to the fact that people are gonna want movie toys no matter what so they can charge what they like...
I agree, none of the figures are value for money at their RRPs.
but I quite like the cyberverse stuff, the legends scale needed to be exploited earlier, I want classic cyberverse styff like a lil prime with trailer base and a G1 ark!
