I went back to the shop, but no Galvatron.
I'll have a look up here in Manchester, and try again in Norwich on Wednesday. I'll confirm then!

It's up there, costing you £100 and is out of stock-one can only assume this means they've not actually got the stock in yet...

They have stock for home delivery ( my order has been placed ) but nothing in stores yet.

Nope, finally got my drinking up to a level that sufficiently dulls the pain of modern life and I like it that way. ;)

Crap!

£180 on MP Soundwave ( thanks to Epic Heroes not being able to supply them at £149)
£130 on Not MP Shockwave
£100 on MP Prime from TRU
£60 odd on that Arachnid Motobot

I need to sell some older stuff to balance this out.

AA is still uncertain for me. I'd love to, but have two conferences and an event I need to attend which will eat into a lot of money.

Sees a bit quiet in here the last couple of days. I put up some thoughts on the Toy Fair reveals on my Facebook (Gav Addy if anybody wants to add me, avatar is me with Simon Furman) which read thusly:

MP Soundwave and minions, yes please, this is why I've been holding off on the Japanese one.

MP Acid Storm, this'll be a pass. Hasbro and TakTom's being unable to get us a set of matched MP Seekers out has gotten to me. Planning to go iGear as and when I revisit these guys.

Beast Hunters, blurgh! Pass and pass again on the spiky bots. Shockwave and Smokescreen will be pick ups to round out the show cast so far and the Preds are maybes.

Bot Shots and Rescue Bots, not lines I've been picking up, not planning to start now.

Kreo, not a big fan of the actual building sets but love the Kreons. Planning to grab all the Microchangers and 2 sets each of the combiners, maybe many sets of the Seacons for Masterforce troop building goodness. Saddened by there being no sign of any Stunticons yet, hopefully we'll get them before this line runs out of steam.

Constructbots, I'll give these a try, probably looking to pick up 'Jackie and Soundwave and carry on from there if I like them in hand.

Metroplex, it's not perfect. Articulation looks pretty limited and the proportions seem far too lanky. It's a big ticket item for a design I'm not 100% behind. It's in the maybe camp for now. If we get confirmation of a Metrotitan repaint I'm more likely to jump for that.

Generations, I'll be after most of these. Springer is a pass. Looks to have been designed with Sandstorm in mind and they're putting it out with the wrong head and the wrong colours first to take advantage of the better known character. I can see why folks are getting excited after the last 5 failed attempts at Springer (Botcon 07, Target 2 pack, RotF Legend, RotF Robot Hero and GDO) but I'm sticking with Defender. When we get the Sandstorm retool I'll be buying that on sight. Hoping with the smaller size of voyagers these days that Blitzwing isn't too tall in amongst Classics Astrotrain and Universe Tankor/Octane. Comic packs are okay, Trailbreaker/cutter is the most essential of what's been shown, Bumblebee is probably a pass. Not sure what I'd put the targetmasters in with, will decide on those as and when I see them, probably ones to look out for on clearance.

Not from Hasbro but I'm liking the looks of the Overlord that's just surfaced. A real shame the company making him doesn't have the best rep, but so long as he displays well enough in robot mode I'm leaning more toward this guy than Metroplex as a big ticket purchase this year.

Manchester has disappointed me with its lack of interesting stuff (nothing for SkyWarpsGhost, either).

All The Entertainer had was DotM refuse and old waves of Prime, no Voyagers or FoC.

As for all the news, stuff looks pretty, mostly the Predacons and Shockwave, but am really going to keep everything at bay for a while. The Generations stuff doesn't interest me that much at all (unless they release another Decepticon apart from Blitzwing).

My Hasbro MP10 showed up today from TRU.co.uk.

I've seen a few guys had theirs posted in just a plastic mail bag, mine was posted in the shipping box that mp10 comes in. So looks like its hit or miss as to how they package the items for posting.

Not paying £100 for MP10. He's not worth that to me. I'd much rather Henkei Prime (who'll probably end up running me close to the same money) or maybe we'll get lucky with a new Voyager-sized, G1 Prime for the 30th Ann. line. £80 or less and I'd be very tempted, but would have to see him in hand. Have these popped up in any physical shops yet?

Toy Fair and 3rd party reveals have me all in a tizzy. Was still very close to being on the cusp of pre-ordering Encore Fort Max for a while, but will gladly get Metroplex now. He's larger, looks to be more poseable, has a lot more detail in his design and will fit the nostalgia factor better, since I never had a Maximus before. I'll still be tempted if they reissue the one with the Pretender shell though.

I've got FP/Hasbro Bruticus v2 on the way as soon as FP release their Mutitioner and Explorer recolours, but am still eyeing up various 3rd party combiners. Giant, Menasor and MMC's Predaking all have me interested, but it's so much money. I'm pretty sure I'll get MMC's Hexatron though, as it looks super badass and everyone's Decepticon army needs a Ninja Consultant. If that Overlord with the Cobra Night Raven jet mode ends up being affordable I'll probably get that and then pray someone does a nice chunky Stormbringer type Thunderwing so I can have a Phase 6er display. I got FP's Chromdedome, and am pretty happy with him, so will stick with these guys for my Headmaster crew. Weirdwolf looks awesome and I can't say no to Brainstorm. Who knows what he's got in that suitcase?!

Hasbro's not slouching either, and aside from Metroplex they'll still be getting plenty of my money. Springer, Blitzwing, BH Ratchet, Trailbreaker and stealth bomber Megatron are all on my wants list and I'll likely pick up some randoms along the way. I'd avoided the Kre-o building sets, as the building block aspect of it seemed really poorly designed. Those little guys looked cool, but wasn't buying fake LEGO that I didn't want. I'm now addicted to the single packs and really hope we see the GI Joe ones here too (I know we won't, but it's nice to pretend) and will probably get any of them I see so long as I've got the money for them.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

I saw this Bulkhead/Springer hybrid Lego set http://www.octobertoys.com/forum/viewto ... 33&t=10734 mentioned a while ago and spotted it in the news agent today marked up at £15. Might snag it next time I've got a bit of free cash flow.

My MP-10 arrived from TRU and it was packed in its proper box not a bag. Its in good condition.

Kind of wish I hadnt pounced on this when it appeared at TRU as it will probably come down in price but whats done is done.

Good question. Personally, I think they might try pricing them around DotM Ultimate Optimus, as they seems bigger than Leaders/Weaponizers.

I dont think that they're quite as large as ultimate op, and dont have as much mass, so id guess probably around £50-60, and Metroplex will probably be about £100-120 if he comes over here, but dont take my word for it ;)
Anyone seen a PRID Dreadwing in any shop other than Tesco?

It may not mean anything at this stage since there's not been any since Animated, but last time 'supreme' was used as a size class the UK retail was £50.

Unless they've shrunk significantly, (and even then) I don't think Supreme Class toys will be as "cheap" as £50. Probably £60 at the lowest. Might be some special offers on when they come out though.

Every year the Emerald Garrison run a show called Heroes & Legends in W5 in Belfast. Lots of members dress up in cos-play etc, fan made sets props, stalls selling stuff etc. I sat in on a talk from William Simpson who drew UK Transformers at one point, along with Batman etc.

Managed to bag me Generations Ultra Magnus and Sideswipe from one of the stalls.
