I also am really beginning to properly appreciate the basics now that I have Razorbeast. He has quickly become another one of my standout favorites on the Beast shelf

Thanks! Kinda funny that I finished the Neo show cast before the regular BW show cast, as I'm still awaiting Blackarachnia.

I don't plan to get every single one, but I want the main show casts and then fill in the blanks with molds I don't have yet. I'm not too worried about the remaining Neo guys since I own or intend to own the original versions and those are much cheaper.

Gigastorm looks to go for around $110ish, he won't be bad, just need a quiet time to make the purchase.

I want to go for God Neptune, but he really is not cheap. He will be a long term goal

Ya know, I realized something about Neo Hardhead: he has something tied in to each of the 4 original bot headmasters:

He is named after Hardhead, and he has a hard head
He technically has a "Chrome dome"
When his mouth is open, he has a "high brow"
And while is does have some Brainstorm-y colors, I'm willing to bet he's never even had a "brain storm" or a brain at all, given his show and manga status

Ah, Beast Wars! I only have 3 BW toys (all Transmetals- Waspinator, Tarantulas and Rampage) but I love them all. Such unique figures, and they've aged remarkably gracefully considering they're over two decades old.

There's plenty of other figures I want from the line mind. Notably:
>Transquito (one of the most evil looking Transformers ever)
>TM2 Blackarachnia
>Injector
>TM Inferno/Scavenger
>Jawbreaker (or Frostbite for that matter)
>Tripredacus
>Manterror (who I'm headcanoning as a girl for various silly reasons)
>Claw Jaw
>THE TAKO TANK
>A version of the TM Megatron that doesn't shatter (even Armada Predacon would do as "Toxic Swamp Megatron").
>TM Terrorsaur

So...basically all of them.

While its unlikely to happen I would have loved to see some G1-era characters with that kind of biomechanical look. Imagine how mental a Transmetal 2 Abominus would look like.

Save that idea for Monstructor Why? Pretender technology may have been the foundation for the Beast Wars organics.

I would be absolutely down for either of them done in that style. But especially Monstructor given he's literally an eldritch abomination who possesses the bodies of the Monster Pretenders to combine.

There is something about the shape of Hardhead's bot legs I think works better with the mold than Dinobot's default.

@Black Hat, I'd recommend Transformerland. Most of my recent Beast Wars mold sets I've gotten through them.

I am surprised this hasn't officially been done sooner. You would have thought Takara would want to make the most of the mold, after all. Trypticon is a one and done, otherwise.

A friend of mine once did a custom job on TM Rampage, in Razorclaw's* colour scheme. As I had noted in the past on many occasions how Beast Modes would share the same TM upgrade.

So, my Transmetal Megatron has been broken at the waist since my childhood and I've been wondering what to do with him. Saw and cut the broken parts and glue his waist back together, leaving him unable to transform but otherwise complete or one day harvest his head for a transplant and custom?

You could dismantle him, insert a reinforcing pin and glue the broken parts back together, and sand/file them to reduce friction (and thus stress).

Indeed. But you have to balance it against Gigastorm's relative obscurity, the similarity to Trypticon's base plastic colors, the likely need for a window in the schedule, and of course the desire to be assured of demand before committing to producing a Titan-class toy. After all, we have yet to see a new Metrotitan, and LGEX Grand Maximus required a certain preorder threshold to be greenlit.

Not much can be done. A joint transplant requires expertise and the fragile gold plastic doesnt make things easier . The best option is to hunt Takara Metals Megatron or the Armada PREDACON (He is a recolor) and paint him instead.

A transplant would be swapping in a replacement from another figure.

I was proposing repairing the existing piece, and sharing a technique to reduce friction stress and thus the likelihood of rebreakage. I have yet to work on a Transmetal Megatron, but, well... Just look at my avatar.

Puke lime green with chocolate brown.. Clearly that palette was selected by someone under the influence...
