I have been waiting for an MP Soundwave since I started collecting MP's. Soundwave was my first Transformer back in '84, and still my favorite. But if Takara does indeed have a faithful G1 Soundwave for the MP series in the works, I might wait to see it before pre-ordering this. I guess we shall see...

Soundwave looks AMAZING. I've only got 3 MP's and I would be glad to add him to my collection...provided that they price tag is not ridiculous.
If dalianjj is reading, what do you guys think about doing an MP Ultra Magnus?

1.) I love your banner. 2.) I have a feeling the price is going to be absurd. The more I think about it, the more it feels like the price is going to be at least 200.00 (which isn't really THAT absurd) but we'll see.

Honestly, I wouldn't touch it if it were anywhere near $200 unless, the figure is PERFECT AND it came with all of his cassettes (Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Frenzy, Rumble, Ravage...maybe even Ratbat); and even then it would still be a maybe. $150+shipping would probably be the tops on my end.

If it were 150, yes. 200 Eeeehhh...probably still yes. Lol. I've devoted so much time to my cassette collection, and even though I just got United Rumble and Frenzy, I'd still probably pick him up. The problem is Blaster. Most of my TFs have been updated since G1, but I still have only G1 Blaster and Soundwave. I had USB Blaster and I rue the day I ebayed him over and over and over. But if Blaster is 200 as well...Eeeehhhh...I'd still probably buy both. Especially if Blaster comes with updated Steeljaw, Eject, Ramhorn and Rewind. Like I said, my wallet is starting to wimper big time.

I give this an A for effort, but I am not that impressed. Twenty five years and the transformation has pretty much remained the same? Where's the creativity?

Since they're showing 4 Cassetticons in this image I'd go out on a limb and say Soundwave may come with Laserbeak, Ravage, Rumble and Frenzy and the inevitable Soundblaster repaint with Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Overkill and Slugfest. Or maybe move Buzzsaw over to the first list and add Beastbox and Squawktalk in with Soundblaster if they were really going to go the whole hog. In any case including the tapes can only push the pricing up higher than it would have been without.

I'd buy the tapes alone in a heartbeat. That is, if they're G1 sized (and they seem to be).

The full figure, though is bound to be at LEAST $100, probably over $130. It'd be nice to be able to buy the casettes seperately.

Ummm...no. TCracker still posts and is still comsidered legit. Wasn't the guy that got banned for being a fraud actually the guy claiming MP Soundwave would be after Starscream? I dunno, I don't keep on top of all the drama.

Ummm...no. TCracker still posts and is still comsidered legit. Wasn't the guy that got banned for being a fraud actually the guy claiming MP Soundwave would be after Starscream? I dunno, I don't keep on top of all the drama.

I was told that tfws insider was baned due to being found to be a fraud.

The claim about Soundwave is pretty accurate, comes from the same source that has told us about the last couple of MPs and the DOTM Leaders, and well everything actually, the only thing that never came to pass where the Dinobot reissues due to one of the molds being unavailable. The rest came out just the way he told us.
