I did NOT see a thread like this, so I figured I'd make one. What are some things that are unpopular about the series, that YOU, yourself,enjoy, or things that are popular, that you do NOT like? Please, be civil, and do NOT bash each other, that's not the point of this thread.

1)I really like Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod:
The most know and typical opinion, is, people don't like Hot Rod/Rodimus, he was the reason Prime died (Though it can be debated it was Primes lacking to fire on Megatron when he begged for mercy was his own fault and not Hot Rods) When he was ''chosen'' by the Matrix (Once again, Ive seen debates that the person who held the matrix once the leader dies, is rightfully the leader, BUT I believe that has been debunked) And Magnus being snubbed, gives reason why people don't like him.

I, for one, Love the guy. The mental instability he suffered from while the leader was interesting, and how he never felt he could lead like Optimus, not only showed sides of him most Bot's didn't have, but made me like him as a leader. He was NEVER better than Prime, And never would be, but I didn't expect him to be. When I was 3, when I was the 86 movie in the year it was in the theaters, I cried, like hundreds when Prime died, but fell for Hot Rod, as the young upstart, who got lucky.

The matrix does NOT make mistakes, and though people didn't like him, He deserved the shot.

2)I like Ultra Magnus:
I've saw hate for him for YEARS, due to what he did during the 86 movie, and seen that hate change when the IDW series showed him as Primes brother, but the general idea, is that most didn't like Magnus

I like, his voice, his soldier mentality about the big picture, and his drive. He did leave others to possibly die, such as Kup/Hot rob, BUT, he did so like a leader in a War would have. And I always respected him for that. And much like many of the thoughts of the post 86 movies roster, I happened to love them all (Except Wheelie)

What are some things that are general opinions of the masses, that you don't agree with.

I'm with you. I like Hot Rod/Rodimus and Ultra Magnus (especially when he fought Galvatron over at the volcano in the comics). However, I think Rodimus complained a little TOO much. Even so, I think he was cool as leader.

Here's a couple off the top of my head:

1. That Carnage in C-Minor is the worst Transformers episode ever. It's not a great episode by any means, but for what it is it's entertaining and hey, it has a lot of characters in it that weren't seen a lot in Season 3. But yeah, the animation is pretty terrible, and that can't be excused.

For the record, I think the worst episode is "Carnival" from Armada(discounting clip shows). It's quite a boring episode, and the Decepticons only show up for a few seconds.

2. War Within Vol. 1 is not that great, in my opinion. Yes, it has some really nice art. Yes, it has some really nice designs. But the story? First issue is awesome, I can't deny that. Tons of stuff happens, Sentinal Prime is defeated(off panel), we get a look at the war overall, Optronix becomes Prime and he holds off an assassination attempt. After that? Prime and Megatron fight for four issues, the Decepticons attack Iacon just because, we get some G1 nods, Starscream's plan to reignite the engines of Cybertron is halted, and at the end of the day nothing really happens. Ok Optimus learns what it is to be a Prime, but I never really found the story to be all that engaging, and I've read it several times.

I'm of the opinion that out of Frenzy and Rumble, one is purple and the other is black.

I'm also the different opinion that Ultra Magnus is right when he says that he "can't deal with that right now" he's got bigger things to worry about than an old guy, a kid and some hard to manage brutes when he's just been named leader of the entire Autobot race/army and has a Decepticon warship on his tail that seems ready to do as much damage to him and his troops as those aboard the other shuttle, AND has to get to Cybertron to find out what the hell it is that's eating moons, and if there's any way to stop it from eating Cybertron. Magnus prioritised well. In a giant alien robot war where the creators need to get rid of people to sell new toys, people die.

Completely agree. Even before IDW, I always liked Magnus. Even when he wasn't Autobot leader, I always felt he should be, he was the natural choice. After all Prime chose him to be leader on his death bed and I happen to trust Prime's judgement. I also like to think that Prime saw more than just a little bit of himself in Magnus.

Eh, I agree with the "I like Hot Rod" thing. I'm not a Rodimus Prime fan but I liked Hot Rod as the rookie character, he was cool in that part. Plus his alt-mode was much better than that mutant...RV...thing...
