I may give watching the film another try, on DVD. Hopefully the gutting agony and shock will have disappeared by then.

Furthermore, isn't this a forum on a Transformers site, so wouldn't discussing the movie and reaction to it not be a priority in this place?

He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?

Oh, I never said it was a crime to not like the movie, but to be offended because they "raped your childhood" is just silly!
Not saying you said that, because thankfully you didn't use that rediculous phrase.
I didn't mean offense to you, but it just seems like so many people go into the movie being so closeminded.
I for one loved the movie, and so did millions of other people.

How much actual dialogue do people need? The '86 movie was good 4 us as youths, but I watched it recently, & was clearly out of my damn mind 4 liking this movie. MB had to have watched it several times, Orci & the other guy duct taped him 2 a chair for 23 days str8, & he had 2 relieve on himself, while only eating Pez & drinking Mr. Pibb...
spoilers......................................
The new movie is very similar: Characters who vanish into thin air (Jolt, Barricade, Breakaway, Soundwave)
just like Sunstreaker, Blitzwing, Hound
Prime goes grey... Nuff said
Devi's easy slagging (Don't think he killed anyone)
Megatron's a slave...
I could go on & on with comparsions, but I need a bootleg copy to further analyze
will be spending 100 bucks this week on it, but need a "Home version" so I can get chopped while watching!!!

On the contrary I was very open minded when I went to see the film. That's why what I saw hurt so much.
