Oh sure he was. He was always calling Megs "Mighty Megatron" and stuff like that. It definitely is spoken with a tongue-in-cheek sarcasm, though.

Damnit! Get out of my head! That was MY thought! :BANG_HEAD: :HEADHURTS:
It finally happened. The Chicago Cubs won the World Series. Yes, I cried.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...

Looks interesting I guess. I shall reserve judgement but I like the return of the Dinobots!

I'll be damned. That looks freakin killer. I hated the look on the poster, but seeing it in action. . . I have eaten my words.
So Primes trailer wraps on him like armor? Screamer is screamer again! And looks great. I dig the powerful non-bucket head for Megs. Lets face it, we need something fresh to really keep it alive.

Pros
-Animation is nice and fluid.
-The Dinobots look great.
-I'm really digging Starscream.
-The new version of the TF theme song is cool, much better than the version found on the TF movie album.

Cons
-I really dislike their use of the anime transformation sequences (focusing on the bot, and having streaking multicolor lights behind it) that we've seen in the last three TF shows. I thought they were going for their own "unique" style, but it's looking like they may as well have just let the Japanese make it again.
-The little girl sidekick is going to annoy me to no end, I just know it.

not too thrilled about the little girl. It brings up fears of "Super fun Robot Adventure Hour" nightmares.

at this point I'm not really hoping for much from the toys, but with what they can do nowadays I'm sure they can make it work. I don't mind the clips either. looks alright.

the only thing good about that was the Theme Music... you can put good music to any visual pile of doo doo and it will seem better... I am sorry but this cartoon although it has decent cell animation, the style is still so lame...its the reason i never could get into teen titans in the first place ...and the toys they look like happy meal toys....I just dont dig it, the style is enough to keep me away...I guess I am picky I donnno I just think its still Lame....The music and the voice of SS are great to bad they could not have been used in a toon with better design

The music in the background--NOT THE SINGING--just the music itself at certain times kinda reminded me of the '86 movie theme by Lion.

The opening bars of the music are remarkably similar to the them from the 'Battle For Planet Earth' audio cassette stories. That's a spot of fanservice I never expected!

Er... although it's unlikely to be intentional, but you never know.

This series looks bloody awesome!! At least the characters won't actually be looking for something like in the Unicron Trilogy. It makes the show dull.

Tom made Starscream sound a bit too much like Spongebob O_O

Haha, just watched the '86 movie again and that's the first thing that popped into my mind when I heard him say "wise and great leader". I thought, wow, just dead on Starscream!

First Thoughts:

Prime's got blue lipstick!?!

Why the little girl? Is she a toddler?

Seeing the dinobots in G1-esque designs made my spine tingly...in a good way.

It looked better than I originally thought. I really love Starscream's design. But that voice is terrible...I can't hear it without thinking of Spongebob doing an impersonation of an old man...

I know I will end up watching it regardless.

Blasphemy!
That voice is the most true to G1 I've ever heard!
It's real good man, not terrible!

Some of it looks alright, but I hated Bumblebee's voice, and the kid. The design in general isn't my favorite but the way it's used isn't too bad. It's a children's show first and foremost, so I find it hard to be too critical though. I stopped watching any Transformers cartoons after Beast Wars, though, so it's not like I've been keeping up with any of them.

BTW, did anyone else notice Optimus Prime detaching the back like a trailer before he transformed? The toys make it look like he won't come with it, but I wonder if it'll be a combining piece or something.

Way, way, way way way, way too much anime influence. Remember when American animation had its own distinct style? Ah, but to hell with originality. Let's have some generic transformation and attack animations that we can use in every episode.

I liked what I saw until that little freaky girl destroyed it for me. I hope she gets killed by Megatron or something. I was really hoping all robots, less humans, but I guess I was wrong.

On the good side, I am happy to see Swoop part of the Dinobot line and was hoping for that and I will most likely get the toys.

Well, quality-wise, its the opposite of Cybertron. In Cybertron, they where awesome but they looky ugly and couldnt move properly. Now, they look like total **** but the animation is flawless.

I don't like the kiddy part, yet i WILL watch a few episode before saying its ****. its a little cartoony, but that does not proove its poopy. its like The Legend if Zelda: Wind Waker, the appeareance was a PIECE OF CRAP yet this game is awesome. Im really looking forward to good ol'Grimlock!
Also, i really enjoyed all the G1 referrence. especially Teletraan-I orange scanning cube.

I am wondering if i really saw Prime whit a mouth...

I knew I would love this. I was the only one at the beginninh who didn't gp balistic on it. Starscream's voice is as G1 as I could imagine, & the theme makes me feel nostalgic. It sounds like a mix between both the G1 theme & the old movie theme in one. I loved the Ark & the Nemesis. It really is bigger than the Ark. I do hope there are at least PVCs of those. The toys look amazing. I can't wait for Grimlock as well as Arcee & Blackarachnia. This whole series is making me as anxious as the movie did. I want it to be here now!!
