Blackout's weapons?
In the gallery, Blackout appears to be holding one of his main blades as a club. Are they detachable? I don't want to snap one off so I'm afraid of trying it and the instructions don't mention it.
Also, how is his blade backpack supposed to sit on his shoulder? the shoulder peg slots through one of the holes the cage goes through, but the only one that fits with the backpack able to line up means the thing hangs off his shoulder and falls off, instead of resting on his shoulder like the instructions say. And it doesn't line up with his hand.
The gallery doesn't feature him holding his weapon like this at all (surprisingly for such normally detailed galleries) so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The instructions didn't mention using his blades as swords, but like you I saw the Blackout gallery here so I thought that was cool having my Blackout holding double blades. The blades do come off if you pull it from the socket, altho I haven't tried putting them back in. The blades are a little tricky to wedge into Blackout's hands, which led me to believe the blades are not design to be weapons....
As for the propeller pack, I have not tried to seat that on his shoulders...

His blades are deliberately detachable, and he can hold them, but he doesn't hold them very well. I'm not 100% certain he is supposed to hold them, as they don't really have handles and rest very loosely in his grip.
I'm not sure what you mean about the backpack. What are you referring to when you say "the shoulder peg slots through one of the holes the cage goes through"? The cage doesn't really go through any holes, it just revolves onto the top of the tail.

Yeah, the blade backpack doesn't work well at all. It hangs off the side way too much and throws him off balance and unless you get him to hold it, it'll just fall off.
Best to just leave the pack on his back and just have him stand there.
(take the pack off if you actually plan to pose him.

yea, that gimmick on the tip of the tail makes standing him with the backpack a pain in the ass. and i was curious too about the blades as weapons, overall, i feel this figure is next to impossible to do anything more than a stading pose with all equipment attached

I've managed to balance him well in some funky poses with his backpack attatched. He doesn't even need to rest on it.
I don't think I'll try to remove the blades though, they look tricky and knowing me, I'll snap it off if I try.
The hole I was referring to is one of the two the cage slots into when it is on the underside, not the top. There is a black peg on the front centre of the cage and a peg coloured liek the main body on each side of the cage set about half way down. The hole is the one the body coloured pegs clip into to secure the cage in place. Because it's on the edge, the backpack overhangs way too much.
Guess Blackout will just use his shoulder rockets and Scorpinok as his weapons.
Thanks for your input.

Actully I've managed to pull off some rather good poses with the backpack on, even managed a 'running' pose where the pack wasnt touching the table. I dunno why, but from the front he looks nowhere near as good without the pack on.

WRONG!
It can, the whole 'backpack' comes off and attaches to his shoulder and has a peg that locates in his hand.
It's not the worst weapon of all time, but it does look a little silly and lopsided.

You don't see a pic because I'm sure Seibs couldn't get Blackout to stand upright with the thing on his shoulder any better than the rest of us. Basically he is like a guy trying to lift his own body weight up onto his shoulder and balance on one foot. It isn't going to happen in any pose that looks good. Unless you glued him to the table first.

I think his weapon is cool, it just takes up too much plastic, making the robot short. And about his blades, they some off quite easily. I'm always losing them all over the place. Right now one's missing and I'm pissed off. I get that way everytime a lose a missile or something, and spend hours angrily searching.
