I have to say that decepticon have more to fear from him turn around than anything else although I still kind of like his vehicle look.

Not every Transformer has to be lean and built for speed.
Think about dropping this tank of a warrior off via drop ship right in the middle of a squad of Decepticons. He ignores their puny weaponry and begins to crush, Hulk style.
