Funny/infuriating story.

I went to go buy the set since there were 3 on the shelf. I went to go pay for it, while it was on sale, and it came up "Do Not Sell Until 03/15" which is fine. I can live with that. They were kind enough to ask if I wanted it put aside until the 15th, so I said yet. But I also asked them if they would honor the sale price. That's when the manager popped her head up and started acting like a jerk. Ha ha.

She SPRINTED to the TF section and yanked all of the G2 Menasors off the shelf. Since this seems like it was an issue, I told her she should give her other stores a courtesy call to let them know to stop selling them since they have been selling for the last week. After I said that she started treating me like a child. Talking to me in that voice you use when you're "talking" with a baby. I said it's really not a big deal, it's just a toy but other collectors have actually bought them from neighboring stores.

Then she tells me that either I or them are lying because in her computer it shows that no other stores have it let alone have sold one. I said her system is wrong, I can even show her pictures of peoples purchases with receipts, all the while telling her that at this point I don't even want it any more. If it's off shelf until the 15th, I'm fine with that. But other stores are selling it, and she should be known to her, as a manager, to let the other stores know. So she starts making faces at me and again saying the others who have bought one are lairs and are just "collectors trying to pull a scam".

Now, I'm in customer service for luxury vehicles, so I went into my default service mode. I asked her why she thought she could talk to me the way she was, what her name was, and why she was working without a uniform on if she really was a manager. Her response was, I kid you not "I don't have to tell you". So I just said the date and time out loud, and she gave me another weird look. I told her that's all the info I'll need to give head office when I call tomorrow (today).

So I haven't called Head Office yet, but I did call a TRU close to my work and they said they would be HAPPY to put one aside for me for the sale price. I'm going to pick it up now, actually.

Oh, and Deluxe Thurnderhoof and Quillfire are out at TRU as well. I think they said Legends Bisq and co were out as well.

So when I got there it turns out they couldn't hold it for me, nor could they honor the price. Difference this time is they were very polite about it. One of the managers seemed to be a collector so he was really good about it. He said if I come back after the 15th he will help me out. Much appreciated.

And it wasn't Bisk, it was Clampdown I was thinking about. Clampdown, Drift, Windblade and Thunderhoof were the legends they had as well as the two new Deluxes.

On a side note, my local Laval TrU finally have a bunch of CW voyager Hotspots.
However, they have ZERO deluxes, zero scouts, and zero legends of any kinds, any lines.

Wow, remember when I osted that pic of all the Combiner Wars deluxes? That walmart was the most stocked walmart ever. Zero deluxes mean they must all have sold, wow.

Ever since the latest super sale at TrU, they never bothered to restock. All they really have are the super ultra expensive Platinum sets nobody buy. Let's hope it's a sign of new stock coming up.

Why would they have shown up in January with wave 1 when this is the wave 2 set? Onslaught and Scattershot were meant to be released in January and then Onslaught and Skylynx in wave 2 in Q2 to go with the new limbs for Skyreign. Why would the sky reign torso been released in the same wave as the combaticons? Skylynx is just making it onto shelves in the states and now we know its in Canada too The states have been getting their combiner wars deluxes, legends and voyagers before us so this news makes sense to me.

Yes. And Onslaught/Scattershot was due in January with Wave 1, while Onslaught/Skylynx is due to come out with Wave 2. So to me, this is all coming out at the time Hasbro said it would.

I just thought of something guys. Sadly, while our dollar is doing better, the prices for this year's TF boxsets was decided when the exchange was worse, so our combiner Box Sets are 150$ instead of 125$, which would be 99$US converted. BUT, there is Ages 3 and Up which si a canadian store that charges in US dollars. I loathed that for the longest time, but now its become an advantage. The means that right now we could preorder Victorion for 126.98$ CDN. Shipping is fat rate 10$ and while they will tax you, its the same tax you'd get if you bought the 150$ gift set in the store.

So yeah, this could be a viable option:

But I will pass. I'm plenty satisfied with the Protectobots. That's also why I skipped CW Bruticus.

Also, they just HAD to make a gross misstransformation. Arent the stock photos supposed to make the toy look as it's best? JFC.

Did anyone else know Indigo carried Transformers toys online? Not much but its the latest RID product at the same price as other stores:

Walmart Canada has reduced its prices on the Transformers Combiner Wars Toys in the Legends, Deluxe and Voyager classes. Deluxes are $ 11.92 CDN, for instance which is the equivalent to $8.72 USD. This is available online as well but the choices are very limited. This might be to clear the shelves for Titans Return. There is no telling how long this will lat since there was no announcement in the flyer.

Wow, congrats on the new price. I'd complain about the rest of us not getting the same treatment, but the local Walmarts rarely have any deluxe figures in stock anyway.

Went to TRU in my area. $22.99 for deluxe figures. **** that ****. I thought they were crazy at $14.99.
