Maybe some if not all TF's have an energy signature masking system, so when they're in their alt modes they can't be detected? Or Frenzy didn't give off much of an energy signature in cell phone/cd player modes?

I suppose we always assumed it was just a visual disguise thing, I don't suppose many of us thought it would be more then that. Makes alot of sense now doesn't it
