Cybertron Primus everywhere
Does anyone know if this figure is any good? Every time I walk into walmart I just see shelves fully stocked of this guy. It seems that Walmart is having trouble moving him. Is it because hes not that cool? He looks like he would make a really good unicron custom. Can anyone who has this figure chime in?

I got him for $25 shipped. I'm happy with that. He's not as loaded with gimmicks, but he's still fairly decent. Nice articulation, pretty stable when posing. Only thing I really wish he'd have had would've been if the Omega Lock had been a different shape. I have my Primus next to Unicron, and Unicron is gripping his Dead-End minicon in his hand, and I wanted to do the same with Primus & his Omega Lock, but its rather difficult to pull off. But I'd say pick him up. For $50 I'd cringe, maybe if you find him on clearance... But hey... After all, he is one of only three planet-formers...

Its Planet Cybertron Himself.

Apparently they made quite a few of him, and now there is left over. It doesn't happen often.
In Robot mode he stands almost 13 inches/33cms tall. from foot, to the top of his head. 14 inches/37cms to the top of the planet halves, and shoulder pads.
He is an imposing sight.
I picked him up for 25, and he's well worth it. 50 i think is a little steep.
I say get him, you wont really regret him.

3? Other than Unicron...what's the other one?
The gripe I have is yeah the lock, and his feet are a litle weak looking.

There's either the black Unicron, or the newly released Deathstar/Darth Vader. either one could be considered a third Planetformer.

Yep, it seems like every Wal-Mart and even a few Toys 'R Us I walk into has loads of Primuses sitting around, waiting to be put on clearance for about $20-25.
Why it's taking them so long to do so is beyond me since they certainly are not moving at a price of $48.

Oh yeah, but I don't really count Vader. But technically you're right.Overcracker wrote:There's either the black Unicron, or the newly released Deathstar/Darth Vader. either one could be considered a third Planetformer.

Yeah, I was thinking of the Death Star Darth Vader as the third planet-former. And I guess you could think of Black Unicron as another planet-former, but iirc, then he is just a straight-up repaint... Which in that case, should he really count?
Its up to the beholder of the idea, but I count by molds rather than paint jobs. But I'm certainly not opposed to repaints. I was going for a Black Unicron bt was outbid so I turned around and won the original for $10 cheaper than my losing bid on the black one.

Personally, the black Unicron seemed much cooler than the original. But, really, the Death Star was more weapon than a planet.
Although the toy is rather well made..

Well, you won't have a problem, I'd hope. If you want the one with Unicron head, I've seen only one, and..I bought it.Dran0n wrote:I don't own the figure but I'd like to get him.

I would get him. I was debating it, because of the very reason, price, overstocked etc.
His planet mode is clearly the best in the universe of transformers in my opinion. Really looks like Cyberton and the detailing is fantastic. His feet don't really matter, his bulk makes him like a colossus!
In any event, check out the reviews on youtube, and that alone should push your craving forward.
Just got Unicron to have the Good vs Evil setup.

I was at TRU this Saturday and there were Primus' everywhere, seriously like 7 or 8 of them. I didn't see that many of them when the figure first got released.

One of the Wal-Marts I hit had it for $25 for weeks then suddenly one day they were gone.
I never bought it and I don't really feel like I'm missing out on anything. I just don't like the planet-as-alt-mode thing.

Which was incidentally, way the hell more rare than I ever thought it would be.

I saw Primus (several) for £16 last December. I'm still trying to figure out why I didn't get it. Mrs O was even goading me on, I suppose I was having one of my 'episodes'. Anyway, if it's any help, I regret not owning that one.
