Do you ever have to use tools to aid in the transformation?

I do. I have to pry the plate of the left arm on 20th prime to push the hands up. It's scratching it a little.
Skywarp is afraid of the creepy grey bar of ads.

I had to do that a few times, but I guess the plastic finally rounded off enough to make things easier. Haven't had to do that for a while. I have decent fingernail strength, too. There just isn't much of anything to grab onto in there.

Also, my Energon Landmine ... usually have to use something to slide his fists out. Even with a pc. of metal ... still tough to get them out. Hopefully one day it'll be easier! Having to push from both sides to unlock the fists just makes it even trickier!

Weapon: Particle Beam Cannon
The only ones I have to do so with are the feet on MP Starscream (Japanese greenie, not Walmart cartoon colors), and part of one of my Roadbots.

I do, but only for my fragile figures (MP Megatron, Starscream and Skywarp, Binaltech Grimlock and Broadblast). For the other figures, no tools are needed.

I've never had any problems transforming my TFs.

I have used a pen to the heel spars out when I was transforming my BT Smokescreen. Other than that, I have not had trouble with any of them.

I have to use tools on a few rare occasions, often with Alternators' hood flap to get the head to pop out the first time. When I have to do this, I sing "Like a Virgin" and recite the lines about the song from Reservoir Dogs, just for laughs :P
Shockwave would think my posts are logical...
