Earthrise map gimmick?

Postby Chimera245 » Mon Mar 23, 2020 3:35 pm

So, I just got my first Earthrise figures, (Starscream and Grapple), and I'm trying to figure out what's up with this whole map gimmick. I've got two pieces that I can tell go together, but I can't figure out the greater point of it all is.

Like, none of the planets are labeled, and none of the "revealed" red paths seem to mean anything important.

Am I missing something? Would it make more sense if I had more pieces? Like what should I expect to have in front of me if I collected all the figures, and put all the pieces together? Right now it kinda looks like some kid scribbled all over a solar system painting with a red crayon.

Motto: "The only good is knowledge, and the only evil is ignorance."
It's more to reveal the planet's or location's name. In that sense it's the successor to Siege's codes.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

What names? Do Starscream and Grapple just happen to not have pieces with names on them? Cuz they have no text whatsoever. Just red dotted lines.

Also, what Siege codes? Did I miss something for an entire line?

At least the Deluxes and Leaders have named locations on them, revealed by the decoder.

As for Siege, Deluxe and up plus some exclusives had codes in the Cybertronian alphabet that were revealed by blacklight. Entering those codes on the site gave you inside info, and some art.

Oh, kinda like the Cyber Planet Key codes from back in the TF:Cybertron days?

Is there any word on whether the layout and relative location of the planets on this map is gonna be canon in any sort of sense?

the maps are a puzzle. literally. they all piece together. here's my map so far. I am missing Grapple, as I havent been able to snag him yet. the secret here is the chain lines that cross all these map pieces. you can see them without the decoder just fine, but the decoder lets you see they are made up of symbols. the big arched ones are different symbols then the straight line ones. I have highlighted the paths on the image so you can see them. when I have the time I will redo this in a higher rez. I have also drawn out the symbols here, though the image I took is kinda low rez so its hard to see. What do these chains represent? space lanes? space bridge connections? do they form some kind of image?

also, if you have an old school pair od 3d glasses, either the red and blue or red and green, you should really look at the map through them. they become holographic
