Dude, I saw the same thing last week and I was informed that its eBays new way of making bidders more anonymous. They take take out everything but the first and last letter/numbers of the name. I thought that some underground ring of bidders was doing this too but it really isn't

That's how it allways goes, two idiots bid back and forth on every item under the same title( I see this a lot for armada starscream, optimal optimus and the g1 movie redecos), until it reaches over double its retail price, then is won last minute by a name you haven't seen in the bid history
