I remember trying to watch it a few months back. I saw it in my childhood decades ago but with adult eyes, I just couldn't endure it. I stopped it at around 1/3 of the movie. Boring, unappealing characters, stupid story, and horribly animated. Not "so bad it's good" moments at all. This is just 3 or 4 episodes of the regular TV show edited as a movie.
Compared to this, the 1986 Transformers movie is also pretty bad, yes. But it put effort in the animation and it have so many golden EPIC moments.
Best movie of that generation from a toy line remains the G.I. Joe movie. That one was awesome through and through.
