Megatron sends a search party to earth following Blitzwing's disappearance consisting of Slipstream and Soundwave along with his cassettes. Slipstream transforms into a ww2 fighter plane and can act like the psychopath of the party and Soundwave transforms into a 60s Volkswagen microbus and can lead the group. Frenzy, Rumble, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw all turn into motorcycles and Ravage and Ratbat turn into quadbikes. Frenzy and Rumble act as comic relief characters and constantly swich colours to piss of Soundwave as a nod to the FIRRIB and FIBRIR argument and otherwise dick around on the job doing stuff like dressing up in human clothes for fun. I think that the cassettes piling into Soundwave's bus mode will fit as a nice replacement to them all somehow fitting into his chest cavity in robot mode.
