It has its merits but the alt mode is pretty crappy. The roller is flat-out awesome though.

I have it, but I can safely say, he has never seen alt mode, for any extended time. Why, because it is obvious that the robot mode is the quality in the figure.
I do remember that he was quite unaligned looking as a truck, but the trailer and roller do look fantastic!!!
The black version is even better, if you go for those kind of things.

I've never transformed mine. He's still got the rubberband around his midsection infact. Much like you say, he seems too fragile to transform.
I debated getting the Black version just so he had someone to "Fight". But one's enough for the price.

I had gotten mine MIB. The previous owner had kept it in bot mode too. The waist area where the front wheels fold up is REALLY flimsy. I think I will keep it in bot mode as well.

haha, i never plan on transforming mine.
To be honest, that trailer is probably one of my favorite toys. I was stunned when i figured out EVERYTING will fit in that sucker. now THAT is a toy!
I love the stand as well, genious idea! Prime is great too, a little loose, but I don't care, still amazing. One of my favorite

About 4 inches in bot mode. Probably 2 - 3 inches in veichle.

I just finished getting all 3 MISB and Loose. Man I love these guys... The trailers are sweet and fits all the weapons and jetback into/onto them. THS-01 is my favorite for some reason... a lot of deatail and a lot going on.
I only keep them in Robot mode... tried to transform one to alt mode once, but gave up about about 30 seconds. Harder than it looks.
These guys are a Masterpiece in a little package.

Fantastic figure. Prime's truck cab mode is poor, but his robot mode more than makes up for it. I love all the little unnecessary touches, like Roller's light rotating to give another socket for Prime's rifle to attach. Or the rifle itself folding bits to allow different attachment options. Superb.
Not sure how I'd have felt if I'd paid normal ebay prices (£50 or so) for him.

About $60. $80 for the black version.
BBTS has the black version in stock... too bad it wasn't last week when they had it for 20% off. $67 for it was a steal!
You'll probably have the most difficult time finding THS-01... or at least finding someone wanting to sell it.

A little smaller than Revoltech Prime, I believe.

If you know where to look, you can easily find THS-02 for $40. Especially you, tom. Check out a bunch of the anime stores in LA, or even Frank and Sons; I think I remember hearing someone who haggled THS-02 down to $40 there.

Really, no THS-02's at Frank and Sons? Weird. Heh, someone at TFW2005 actually bought a black THS-02 at Comic-Con for $48. Crazy.
And LOL at Encore Prime for $130. Say the word, and I'll get you one for $60.
Yeah, I don't know of very many anime stores in LA, I just know that there's a lot of them around there.
