Could be helpful for others if perhaps it was mentioned right on the page where one edits one's signature, where presently the only restriction mentioned is the 500 character limit. While I didn't disbelieve you, I was curious to see where this was publically stated, and it took a little bit of searching. So it'd be quite easy to miss if you weren't specifically looking.

I know that, after my aforementioned "little bit of searching." I do have a bit more I'd like to say (don't worry, with nothing but friendly intent) but it really isn't pertinent to this thread.
