I have been noticeing latly that some players have the use of either the Predacon or Maximal Faction symbol for their group command sympols and that they also have access to bot types I can't even see in my alt. list thing. What I want to know is simple how did they get those and how can i get my hands on those as well?

er no, that's not quite right.

4 factions yes, but bots with maxi's, and Preds with Cons share the same alt lists, but over time the particular alts (rares and commons) rotate in and out. also some alts are no longer avaialble for selection at all, and so can't be got.

as to changing faction you have to PM the HMW admin, as he's the only one with that power(and he's currently on holiday)

No I don't want to change factions I was just commenting that I have noticed that when I joined I was not able to get the choice on Pred or Maxi factions and when I had to create my emergancy account a few days ago to get help to get this account back up and running (the recent change in codeing and crap screwed up my password and made it impossiable to log on had to get a pw change) I did not get that choice either.

An "emergency account"?

That means a multiple account, which is not allowed....

And my password wasn't affected by the board upgrade....

The coding that will allow people to choose from four factions has yet to be implemented. (It's intended for future upgrade) At this stage you can only choose between Autobot and Decepticon, and as Tammuz said, the only way to swap over is for it to be done manually by the HMW Admin.

I understand that but how come some of the players on here already have the ability to choose either the Maximal or Predacon Factions? I have betteled players with those Faction symbols several times recently.

And yes Deadpool an emergancy account. I had not logged for a while and when I came on to do so I was told my password did not translate correctly dureing the last upgrades. I already spoke to Cyber Bishop about the whole mess and its ok now.

That's because they've already informed Omega Sentinel about it.

Hence, OS could switch them over to the Maxis and the Preds....

As is my understanding, some bots and cons that wanted to transfer to the maxis and preds were given the oppurtunity to do so a while back; testing out the new factions for OS to make sure everything worked dandy.

Ah so they are the beta testers for the new factions. Cool. So here is a question begging to be asked: when the new bots and factions are ready to rumble and we ask to switch over to those factions will our xp and stuff transfer as well? Or do we have to start from stracth? And do any of you have any frigging clue when HMW will be back up and running? My pc has been telling me the servers have been down for like 4 or 5 straight days.

Without OS to steer the ship, everything seems to have gone to pot. It'll be back up eventually, when they find OS's crashed plane (or wherever the hell he's got to).

XP and such won't be a problem, as the next major switch-over is planned for the birth of V2 (as far as I know)- at which point we all lose all xp, energon and weaponary (+ alt modes and the like).

But as some trivia, when the beta switched over, they kept everything they had.

It's okay if you only use an emergency account to get your normal one working again. I did it a while ago, but I had the emergency account deleted shortly after.

Do any of you have any clue when V2 is gonna hit the site? Has anyone made Any announcements about if and when thats gonna happen? And will the Maximal and Predacon teams have access to non-animale based alt modes? I.E. trucks cars that kinda thing? I certinly hope so cause I only wanna change over 6 of my current 'bots to Maximal forms and alts. not all 12 of them. So does anyone have any clue when they plan to upload the V2 upgrade to the sight and make the Maximals and Predacons available to everyone?

V2 is not gonna happen, though i've heard rumours of HMW being replaced by something bot quite as nice.

the beast factions will have a very limited selection of non-animal alt modes

Mkall says soon on the faction swapping, but that doesn't really mean anything.

I'd prefer to think that V2 is simply a special name for the upgrades being made to HMW. The idea of a warmap seemed a little far fetched for a free online multiplayer game.

what you think is of no consequence dealer, OS's is pretty much gonna replace HMW with a TF version of legend of the green dragon. V2 is in no way gonna be a continuation of V1

and that makes me cry.
