First time poster, long time reader ...
I picked this figure up off ebay from one of SPX TOYS eBay auctions. I thought other Seibertronians might be interested in having a look at this figure, so I put up a gallery at
http://orinthomas.com/seibertron/alpha-trion/The figure itself doesn't have the reinforced Galaxy Force wings / solar panels, so they can be a little bendy. It does have a more translucent sword than the Japanese version. Although there is a place for batteries, it doesn't have the electronics of the Japanese version (not that they were anything to write home about).

Do we know for a fact this is a Botcon Exclusive? There has been no mention of it, or even hinted at it on the collector club forum or in anything they've said.

Well it is on SPX_TOYS say so as he is the one that sold it to me, but he is selling other items (such as Dreadwind) that have been confirmed as being part of the Botcon lot. This particular seller also does seem to have a reputation for getting figures early.
The figure is pretty awesome. I would have liked a more detailed key and the GF Vector Prime wings, but anyone who picks this figure up is going to be pleased with it.

Mine has full electronics. I swapped out all the electronics from Vector Prime. So if the official release doesn't have electronics (like most Botcon exclusives don't) mine will be the only complete one in the world! (unless somebody else does the swap.)

There was no hint that there would be a Machine Wars repaint of Waspinator for last year's Botcon, either, despite the fact that pics of the toy were online long before it was announced, either.

im not crazy about the colors the first version of the cybertronion key looks better than the gold version they could have atleast kept the samll details on the key and changed the color of it.

That face is much better than I thought it would be.
The paint seems god, but if this was a wide scale release, I'd take an exacto knife to some of those pannels, get some crazy glue and give him that layered armor look the Alpha Trion had.

Looks great and makes a perfect exclusive! It's not like anyone expected this as part of the classics collection, like the other seekers that are being released at the con.
