Does that mean that the Toynami version can't compare to the Yamato? I was thinking of getting one.
well, the Toynami and Yamato valks are diferent beasts really. the Toynami 1/100`s are great little valks to tinker with or display on a desk and are perfect for that size and price. the Yamato`s are more highend model that happens to transform then plaything and are perfect for that price and means.yes you CAN just display either but they`re diferent.and yes, you can ALSO play with both but it`s diferent.it`s like home made cookies. they look the same at first glance but no two recepies are exactly the same.

it fell while in gerwalkmode and one of the shoulder hinges broke beyond repair. the person who bumped it over did replace it so it`s all good. it`s not a point one NORMALLY damages easily.and yes, I still have it so it`s impossible you got it.

I just bought the Protoculture collection and haven't opened it yet, anybody else buy it and watch it yet? New Generation was my favorite of the three.

How much did they set you back though?
Yamato puts out some very amazing Macross figures, but they are expensive due to being released in Japan. The 1/48th VF-1 valks usually go for around $150, but the 1/60th YF-19 and other Macross Plus or Zero valks go for $200+.
Are the details on the 25thA Valks painted on?

Which details exactly? All of the 25th anniversary markings are done in gold ink. I did notice that due to the black color some of the usual Tampo printings are missing. By the by, is it me or does the gun look different?

The VF-1S it looks like his pod is a bit more slender and has an extra hole. Can the gun finally peg into its hand or do I still have to deal with the two handed magic?

Speaking of the gun pod, any tips on how to attach the gun strap? I tried once on my VF-1J and ended up tearing the rubber. Bad memories. What's up with those green trees of plastic parts that come with the new Ride armors?

Here are some photos of the Revoltech Macros figures. I used each figure to show a different pose so you could get a sense of how dynamic the posing could be. I will say in the VF-1S and A that they modified the design a bit so the figure looks natural in simpler poses.

By the by I got my Ashoima Alpha fighter so once I take down my Joe display I bust him out and let ya know what I think.

Is this figure the same as the ones released by Toynami?
By the way, those revoltechs look good. Nice display.

well, I hear on MW that the Aoshima 'reissues' of the Toynami Alpha Fighter are actually CRAPPIER then their US counterparts and that they subsequently bombed...here`s hoping CMs version holds up.

no, they changed some joints but aI hear the new joints aren`t holding up well, paintapps are messy and no improvement at all in articulation.that last one REALLY bugs me as the Toynami Alpha Fighter isn`t particularly stable in any mode anyway...I don`t even want to remember how many nosedives my Shadow Alpha made in guardian mode...

okay, sorry for the double posting here but...Yamato is making 1/60 destroids to complement the valkyries!in september they`ll be releasing a 1/60 Tomahawk and while the price is unknown, I`d estimate it`ll be cheaper then a valkyrie.

That Destroid looks awesome! A question though, did Yamato ever make enemy mecha in the 1/60 scale?

they made one mold, the Queadluun Rau which they released in DYRL Max and Miria colorschemes but NOT in tv colors.most hope that this release will trigger a reissue of the Queadluun Rau`s and then have the TV colors done aswell.
