I Guess we'll never get our G1 Movie we always wanted....but on topic I never really liked the mouth or anything I didn't like in that movie, but overall it was a good movie....

Actually we did, it came out in 1986. Move on.

......Damn. I hate this. I just posted a big long response to just about everybody who posted below me, took about 30-45 min....& now it's gone because of the "no post mode specified" thig that pops up whe you take too long.

...eh, I give up.

....short version: He's a frikin robot, & even if he eats, metabolizes, craps lead out his armpits, whatever, he doesn''t need a mouth, & even if you want to argue against it, he's still a fictional character & therefore any "rules" can be overcome if the writers simply come up with an excuse to not give him a mouth. However, they don't.

It's simply an astethic design. Some like it, some don't. I personally don't, as well as others, & no amount of "he has one, get over it" will change it.

That same arguement can be reversed, so it contradicts itself because he is just a fictional character and therefore any "rules" can be overcome, hence the mouth.

It isn't just a matter of aesthetics. It is also functional, and that is the key difference. Colr scheme and decoration is pure aesthetics. This is a functioning part of the body. That is a key difference.
