to me he isn't really that bad. I took out the spring from his fusion cannon and made his gimmicks work properly. I added proper silver to his face. Highlighted the details on his weapons. So I'm happy that I got him - very happy in fact.

I understand that I'm not 'recommending' him per se, but I don't think you should kick yourself if you DID in fact take him home.

I too did the changes that you mentioned (aside from the weapons thing) and he's a great figure.

Not to mention that imo he in the movie his design seemed right, as the Lord High Protector who turned evil. His figure is bulky (some people hate that, but if they do, they should be criticising Leader Prime too. I for one love bulkiness), and towers over your average Autobot and Decepticon.

I also noticed a 'super mode' that Hasbro has not mentioned - all you do is fold out his back wings that are meant for his Cybertronian jet. Now you finally have a Megatron who can match Galaxy Convoy, and take up even more shelf space! :grin:
