LDR prime is one of the best TF figures...ever, in my opinion. I have yet to see one in the store(s) I picked up mine at Costco.

Well, it's worth it just to buy it as a toy, it is a wonderful Transformer. And to answer your horrible question, yeah it's probably pay off in the end. It's a cool figure that sells fast, so I could see it being sought after very much in a few years, especially when TF2 is ready to release.

Are you talking about the movie Optimus Prime, or the cybertron Leader Prime?

Because both are pretty good, although most ppl say Cybertron OP is better than movie Prime.

Nah Leader Prime won't be worth much later on.

I'll tell you what you should look out for though. there's this really rare figure called Wheelie and he is the most sought after from the original movie...

I say, no. Why? Because you can't keep him MISB, because of his damn batteries. A couple of years down, they'll leak and ruin the packaging/Optimus. In that case, you'd have to open him to take the batteries out, but then he'll no longer be MISB. Therefore, his value will go down. So, you won't profit. So please don't scalp him.
