OK so I got my encore megatron (NO CAP!!) and I was planning on opening it...Im a hardcore colector and i have the D-16-S Megatron reissue also but its MIB the only reason it was opened was the dealer showing me that it was complete and nothing had been touched. My encore reissue megs is MISB but with a minor scratch on the front of it. So which should i open ...I see the my Reissue 16-S is going for quite a bit more on ebay than then encore...so if you were in my shoes which would be best to open? Here are 2 pics(one of each)

I can only say the situation in our community.

G1 original is worth much more than Reissue.

I'm not sure if this applies to everywhere.

Is Encore the word for G1 original?

If you are planning on reselling the one you don't open, I would open the reissue s-16 one. The reason is I think more people prefer MISB over MIB. If you don't plan on reselling I would open the Encore one because having an older reissue in mint condition is cooler.

If the D16 S is already opened is there a real question?
Of course once it was opened by a dealer to show you nothing had been touched, doesn't that kinda of spoil the fact that nothing had be touched? I mean that alone sounds kinda
sneaky.
But heck the Encore was cheap enough you could open that one too. I opened my Prime and never looked back.

The dealer should be wearing surgical gloves. Then the opened TF box remained untouched. Technically, that is.
