I haven't heard many people complain on why Megatron died, just that the final 'fight' was too damn short. It's literally just 10 seconds of Optimus hacking Megatron apart. Regardless of Megatron's condition, that's an incredibly anti-climatic close.

Both the Prime/Megs fightscenes in the previous movies where huge and memorable. I sure entered the theatre with hopes of a big final battle.

Bay, I am dissapoint.
