I got out of collecting G1 10 years ago, not that my G1 collection went that far Add to that Fort Max was never a grail for me because I never watched the fourth "season" until the DVD box set was released a few years ago.

As cool as Fort Max is with this guy as his head, when I spend $300+ on a toy, it needs some articulation.

Now that BBTS has him on sale (temporarily) he is very tempting. The one thing holding me back is the lack of knee joints

Indeed! I considered Fort Max for a hot second, but I'm prohibited by:

(1) space
(2) the likelihood of Metroplex in my future
(3) my (some might say unfortunate) financial commitment to 3rd parties in the form or preorders

Whenever a huge sale like this happens, I check eBay. Sure enough, a MISB Fort Max reissue can be found for about $250, so I'm not worried if I change my mind later.

Whenever a huge sale like this happens, I check eBay. Sure enough, a MISB Fort Max reissue can be found for about $250, so I'm not worried if I change my mind later.

Didn't even think of eBay, but prefer BBTS normally. That helps to put FM on the back burner. Thanks for pointing it out!

Edit: going over prices and shipping costs, nothing beats the BBTS sale price with PoL shipping...

This guy is epic all those modes and add on parts and the robot still looks Fn awesome! the price however i don't want to pay anymore than £90 to be honest it's not like he is the size of hexatron and i paid £120 for him , but i guess he's gonna cost around

This is looking to be quite a kibble-y figure. I suppose that's the price you pay for what appear to be working tank tracks, but they are a bit of an eyesore. I wish the cannon was less of an accessory as well. It'd be daft if the cannon can't mount directly onto the scout tank. It'd make the perfect mounted gun for Max's robot mode.

The main figure is still looking awesome though.
