However, if it is something I don't think I will ever find at cheaper, or, like a custom, something I may never see again, my only limit is my bank account. Luckily, that doesn't happen too aften.

For me, it depends. If it is something that I feel like I can readily get at a lower or equivalent price in the future, I normally limit stuff to under 50.

It really depends on the figure in question like the sixshot reissue I just got I payed $62.99 for it, which really suprised me since most of these figures even the reissue version are go for well over a $100 so I got
really lucky.
really lucky.

I haven't spent an extravagant amount of money on a single figure, but I did trade a my kidneys for an MISB Fort Max.

you are just begging for it again aren't you?
Care to elaborate?
everytime this topic comes up, that particular price tag comes up, and somebody makes the comment that it is retarded...then people get pissy, etc. etc. etc.

I have noticed that as well and it is ridiculous, people should spend their money as they like. If you have the flow to drop 2 grand on a bot, more power to you. Just last night I went on a shopping spree of sorts, G1 boxed + minty complete Devastator, Superion, Metroplex and Scorponok. Ran me about $1000.
I also recently payed nearly $2000 for all the dreamwave takara collection boxes misb.
To each his own, Transformers make me happy and I have money to buy them, so why shouldnt I? Dont sweat anyone telling you otherwise GetterDragun

Most I spent on a single TF on eBay - 1 year ago $800 US on a MISB G1 Swoop Canadian Error Box that I got AFA'ed and then signed by the Voice Actor Michael Bell.
Most I sold a single TF on eBay - 4 years ago a Diaclone Blue Bluestreak for $3000 US. Mint everything on tree, unused sticker sheet. Miss you buddy but hey it was $3K!
I do remember that AFA90 G1 US Megatron that went for $12K US. That might have been a record for a single TF to date IMHO.

Longs for the days of G1 where we only had to worry about Megatron, Soundwave and Laserbeak wanting to be Autobots, Swoop calling himself Tracks and Slingshot calling himself Slingslot!

My highest to date was $65 for Encore Megatron, which I don't get to open until Christmas.
There aren't many figures I'd pay more than $100 for. They'd have to be Masterpiece level. I know G1 figures go for more than that but I'm just as happy with the reissues which are much cheaper.

My maximum for any one figure would probably be $200, with shipping. And it would have to be a Masterpiece or something extremely expensive to warrant that much. So far the most I've spent is about $130 plus tax on my MP-05.

I think the most I've paid for a single figure is 500$, but I have no limit, only my bank account does.
