I have an original G1 Optimus Prime from my childhood (purchased around '85 I think).
I'd like to know about the version I have (I'll post some pictures up when I can).
I do remember one of my friends having an Optimus Prime bought around the same time but his Gun was different, slightly thicker and better IMO?
So I guess my question is how many versions of Prime where there in the first original toy line and what were the differences?

Not really versions per se, but the parts had some variations between the runs. You can find them with
