Re-Applying G1 Stickers

Postby Briggs » Sun Nov 25, 2007 12:47 am

I have a nice shiny G1 prowl that i'd ay 95% of the stickers are still nice and tight and are on fine, but a few are starting to peel.

I was wondering if anyone has some tips for re-applying or something. I think super glue might be overkill, but don't know if other glue would work for the long run.

I'd rather have them on nicely instead of continuously peeling.

Suggestions?

A regular glue stick works fine. But it'll peel the chrome off if it ever gets loose, I think.

What you could do is remove them and buy some new lables from

The stickers are great and the prices arent bad at all.

Old worn crappy Blitzwing + Reprolabels = Brand spanking shiny new Blitzwing.

G2 Jazz with faded peeling stickers + Reprolabels = G1 Jazz with all the coolness of the character. Well, after I painted his visor blue.

Reprolabels is definatly a good choice for new stickers.

Actually these stickers tht are peeling are in really, really good conditon. They aren't worn or scratchd, just the the ends of them are starting to peel, hence why I'd like to keep them. would be a waste to remove almost perfect original stickers.

For example, the big police sticker n g1 prowl is in amazing condition, except or around the hinge of the door where it is starting to peel because it's a curved surface. that's like 10% of the whole sticker that is only peeling

Ah well, i guess if anything is going to harm the figure i'll just let them peel

Ah well, in that case, I cant help you. My only suggestion would be prit stick, or something similar, but I have no idea what that would do to the sticker or figure, so best not to risk it.

Most glues ...even the most harmless....will contribute to the yellowing of the plastic that surrounds the area it is applyed to.It may not show up for years but sooner or later you'll see some.

Thats why I go with the reprolables these days.
