And here I thought Nerf Megs WAS Galvatron in those garish colors!!!!

But I'm looking forward to the new Galvatron, should be cool.

I always felt Energon Megatron looked more like he was SUPPOSED to be Galvatron anyway. (hence the purple repaint) The way the head was shaped, the chest and the shape of the cannons all scream Galvatron.

I heard somewhere he looked like that because in the Japanese versions, Megatron stays as Megatron to the end of Armada and changes his name to Galvatron at the start of Energon. It was the dubbing that made him go Megs - Galv - Megs - Galv.

I really want to see an image of this guy. Galvatron rules!

To me, that "crown of horns" animated appearance was what made Galvatron, Galvatron. Megatron made a deal with the devil - I mean, Unicron is basically a Dark God, and is very Satanic in appearance with those hooved feet, archangel wings and horns of his own - and Megatron was recreated in his dark master's image, with a crown-like set of horns (replacing Megatron's plain-looking helmet) and a tail-like appendage sticking out of lower back (replacing Megatron's pistol barrel). Meanwhile, Cyclonus has the appearance of a lesser demon, with smaller horns, and Scourge has bat-wings and his creator's evil-looking goatee.

Great post, I hadnt really looked at Galvatron that way. I really like your take on him.

Floro Dery: Since Unicron is a villain and because I was fooling around at that time, I decided to make him look demonic with goatee, horns, bat-like wings and eagle talons for feet. I got the idea of Unicron from the planet Saturn.

Plus the whole thing in the Marvel comic book with Unicron being older than the universe itself. Unicron = robot Satan. That would make Galvatron and his new crew robot demon minions. You know where Unicron's ego really shows, is Scourge - bat-like wings, his creator's goatee, even his creator's up-turned collar.
