My wife is half-chinese. You might never know it though.

She doesn't go around with chop-sticks in her hair, she doesn't play into any noticable stereotype, and yet I'm sure you'd call her 'panda express asian' as well.

Except for the fact that while people my not force their culture down other people's throats, they may in fact retain that family culture in other ways.

I'm not being touchy about ethnicity issues, we make jokes at home about all manner of things, Chinese, American, white, yellow. That's a different thing.

But to tell someone they don't represent or aren't a part of their heritage because they don't portray some stupid stereotype is just backhanded racism.

my point was the established character looks nothing like the actress they chose to portray her.it would be like choosing halley berry to plac cammy cuz shes "white enough". my argument is about picking a more comercially viable person to play the role.

I did not mean to offend, just they picked a horrible person to fill the role. granted people think she's hot. some people might even think she's a good actress. she just isn't a good chun li.

Alot of people fell for the Transformers nostalgia ,and was blinded by it. It was graded rotten in rottentomatoes.com by the critics. The robots were more like side characters, and it focused more on Sam and his girlfriend. All the other Autobots showed up half way in the film. The Decepticons hardly didn't even speak ,and had much less screen time than the Autobots. Jazz acted like a scrub ,and his character was wasted ,and killed immediately by Megatron. Ratchet couldn't even fix Jazz or even repair Bumblebee's vocal box. Ratchet was useless. The robot designs were horrible I couldn't even indentify with any of them. There were too many pointless sex jokes in there too. That cube thing wasn't necessary either. It was also wrong to have cybertron nonexistant. The second one won't be any better I'm sure. The robot designs look even worse than before. Megatron won't even be in it. The main villian will be a character called the fallen that never even existed in the transformers mythos before. His look doesn't even look original. He looks like the queen alien from the movie Aliens. Bay and the writers should of just had Sigorney Weaver square off with him instead.

It was laughably bad.

I'm not going to retread the previous few pages of posts, but I pretty much agree with most people's comments.

I would have used the chick from Rush Hour 2 to play Chun Li (the one that smell good according to Det Carter), at least with her you'll have some decent fight scenes, then develop a better story around it. I didn't mind Mr Duncan in this movie, I would have kept him in it.
