I passed on the first Soundwave, but I might get the new one. The new boombox mode is kinda sweet, and IDW has made me really like Soundwave recently, so yay for another Soundwave!

I'd say it might be worth it now. With the future at least including micromasters and the recent past with titan and prime masters, the base modes from the TR leader molds become a plus instead of just afterthoughts.

That reminds me, it may be time to set up the mega city again with the titans and TR leaders.

The Blaster/Soundwave mold has probably the best base mode out of all the TR Leader-class figures. Good layout, plenty of places to stick everyone's weapons and all..

Question: I've been collecting the Prime Wars Trilogy, in hopes of getting a complete set of characters (or mostly). Since we got a Broadside but not a Springer or a Sandstorm, should I try and get the Generations ones to complete the triple changer Autobots? I thought we'd get them, since the Decepticon triple-trio has been made... But we didn't. Sadly, they won't be headmasters. But I need to complete the subgroup

Springer is a fantastic triple-changer, and from what I've heard Sandstorm is just as good! So yeah, it's probably worth picking them up if you want to complete the full group with the TR 'Cons and Broadside - I still need to get that Sandstorm at some point, personally...

Cool... Now to find them... I see I just missed a Springer on a sales website in the NL. Mailed anyway in case the sale is cancelled. Sandstorm is nowhere to be seen.

I was just going to chime in and say, I could totally see a new Springer coming from Siege, or it's following lines. I mean he is already known to have Cybetronian alt modes. Feels like a no brainer. Might be worth waiting to see. Even thought the old Gen Springer is a marvelous toy.

I guess my point was that Springers alts are and have always been "Cybertronian". Yes cars and helicoptors are Earth vehicles, but Springer's alts are never based on real world vehicles. They are stylized futuristic space versions of those things.

But what's most important, is that you get a figure that you like and makes you happy, and I can almost guarantee T30 Gen Springer would do that. He's just that good!

I think it was cybertronian modes as what you see of earth vehicles in season 3, they don't look that different then before.
