I come from the Net. I'm sure some of you do to. For those of you who, like me, are huge ReBoot fans, here's something you might enjoy (unfortunately, it is not the series on DVD...):
it's the ReBoot Art Book, featuring still, concept designs and sketches, and of course original works! It looks alphanumeric to say the least.
So doubleclick your icon and follow that link!

But let's not forget that Gary Chalk did the voice for Slash, Scott McNeil did the voice for Hack (Scott was the second person to do Hack's voice). Kathleen Barr provided the voice for Dot in ReBoot and Botanica in Beast Machines. Paul Dobson did the voice of Matrix in ReBoot and Obsidian in Beast Machines. Richard Newman, who was Rhinox in Beast Wars/Machines did the voice for Deacon in the Deamon Rising movie in ReBoot.
A lot of these actors have done other work for Mainframe, now Rainmaker, over the years.

Reboot was one of my favourite shows. Shame it was only shown on a once run through woth no repeats. I can't remember much about it now, but I think it ended on the cliffhanger that grown up kid, girl and dog had been lost in the games for a few years after loosing Bob in the game that had trapped them, when they had just learnt from a pirate that Bob still lived somewhere. Is that true? Or am I misremembering yet another thing? Anyway, Reboot was brilliant. I loved the villian. Megabyte? Anyone know where there are soundclips from this show, I would love to hear bits again.
EDIT: Wohoo! Youtube has some Reboot goodness! Time to reminicse.

Now maybe if they can actually work on actually finishing the series I'll be happy. Who knows this maybe the first step in regaining interest in the series so they can get the needed support to finish things up. I know Cartoon Network doesn't like Mainframe anymore, but Mainframe can just do a DVD movie.

Not really likely to happen, given that Tony Jay (Megabyte) is dead.

That's a bummer, I never had my hopes up that much anyway. Another reason why Mainframe should have got it done when they had the chance.

Here's what happened:
At the end of Season 2 (Version 2, as they call it), Bob was launched into to Web by Megabyte, leaving Enzo as the Guardian of Mainframe. He failed, leaving the falling Mainframe in the clutches of Megabyte.
At the end of Arc 1 of Season 3, Enzo was in a game with AndrAIa and Frisket. He lost, so they went into game sprite mode, meaning that rather than be deleted when the game left, they would become part of the game and leave with it! When the game dropped onto another system, they would win it, go back to their regular mode, and leave the game, hoping to find themselves on a system with ports to the Net in order to get back to Mainframe. This process is known as 'Game Hopping.'
Thing is, they did that until they matured. Enzo went by his last name, Matrix, because he did not want to be associated with the weak little boy, since he had grown into a big, strong man. AndrAIa became hot. 'Nuff said. Plus, she was the only one who could keep Matrix, a loose cannon, under control. Frisket was still their loyal friend, and he was as strong as he had always been!
Matrix had given up hope until finding a way home and finding Bob, a promise he had made to Dot, when, in Version 3.2.3 (Season 3, Arc 2, Episode) "Number 7" (the entire episode was a reference to the TV show "The Prisoner"), he realized that he was still the weak little boy he'd always been and there was nowhere left to run. He had to get back to Mainframe and find Bob!
In Version 3.2.4, "The Episode with No Name" (the entire episode was a reference to westerns, such as The Man with No Name"), the Mainframers found themselves in a system with ports to the Net, only to find that Net travel was restricted... by the Guardians! Matrix later met with Turbo, the Prime Guardian (voiced by Gary Chalk, so Prime might be a reference!) and discovered that time in the Games is accelerated, which is why they've matured faster, meaning that there is still hope for Mainframe! Turbo also told him of Daemon, a supervirus who had already infected the entire Guardian collective, except for Bob, which is why they had restricted travel in order to find him (Matrix had some of Bob's code, given to him when he was given Guardian Cadet status in Season 2, which is how the infected Guardians tracked him down). Turbo managed to fight the infection, but he wouldn't be able to fight it for much longer.
Over the next few episodes, the Mainframers managed to free the Software Pirates, led by Capitan Capacitor (introduced in Season 1's "The Crimson Binome") as well as Ray Tracer, a web surfer voiced by Donal Gibson, brother of Mel. Using the Pirates' ship, the Saucy Mare, they managed to flee to the Net, and later went into the Web to find Bob.
They eventually found him, he had joined the Web Riders and took the form of Interface. Thanks to Bob, who had been reunited with his friends as well as Glitch, they were able to get through Mouse's Firewall (see Season 2) and get to Mainframe, where they were finally reunited with their friends and family. Phong was being held captive by Megabyte, who was trying to get the code to access the Supercomputer from him. Bob got captured by Hex, who was eager to see him again, and Matrix faced off with Megabyte in an epic battle atop the nearly destroyed Principle Office. He managed to beat the virus, but Megs was about to hop into his portal to the super computer when Mouse hacked it, sending him into the Web!
That wasn't the end though, as the entire system was crashing. Bob made a gamble. He figured that when the User would reboot the system, System Restore would return Mainframe to how it was in Season 1. I guess that was the restore point. It worked! And since Matrix was in game sprite mode the whole time, the system didn't detect him and 'restored' him, hence Little Enzo was back in Season 4.
I'll explain about Season 4 if you want me to. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!!

I missed all that? Damn CITV ending things halfway through seasons (according to wiki, the series was getting too dark. Damn them and their kid friendlyness meaning the class dark stuff doesnt get transmitted.) Like I said, I only saw the run through once, many, many years ago and my memeory fails on such long ago things. Thanks for letting me know about all this.
No problem. If there's anything else you want to know, just ask me.
During Season 1 and 2, Mainframe had the BS&P (Board of Standards & Protocol, or something like that. You know, censors) on their asses, which prevented them from doing anything too violent. Heck, Dot hits Bob off-screen without any sound effects, once - you only hear Bob say 'Ow!' They even prevented Mainframe from making an episode where they play hockey! In Talent Night, Dot was supposed to give Enzo a kiss, but the BS&P made them change that, I don't know, something about incest, or some crap.
Mainframe didn't have to worry about the BS&P in Season 3, I think because ABC (which carried ReBoot in the states) got bought over by Disney and stopped carrying ReBoot. So, Season 3 is much darker, with more violence (there was even blood in one shot, when AndrAIa's fingernails shot into the Infected Guardian's neck).
However, Season 3 was the best season due to darker storylines and such. That was the season they kicked their references/homages into overdrive, dedicating entire episodes to old TV shows, movies, and other pop cultural events.

I miss re-boot, great show that, i remember the most clearly that they had to fight a giant monster made of worm things, and they used a Power Ranger type zord to do it.

Indeed. Off the top of my head, I can remember that they had references to Evil Dead, Star Trek, Star Wars, The Prisoner, and other things. They even had a full on rip off of "Modern Major General" in the final episode, and I dare to watch that and not laugh.

Yep, that was the Season 2 episode 'Nullzilla.' When Mainframers get deleted, they become nulls. There are a lot of Nulls in Mainframe due to the explosion of the Twin City (see Season 4) which deleted all of its inhabitants.
Hexadecimal controls the Nulls, but she was attacked by a Web Creature, and Nulls swarmed her. To combat Nullzilla, Phong made the team use a variety of vehicles that combined to form a giant robot. Episode feature references to the Thunderbirds and Power Rangers.
Season III owned for sure, Darth! I loved all the references. That Evil Dead/Adams Family/Thriller episode was hilarious.

I started to watch the last episode of season 2 on Youtube (so I would be in a good place to resume season 3 and then carry on past the eps I missed) but the ep opens with a major conflict happening. And since I can ask you anything, I'll ask you this: Which epsiode is the start of that final arc in series 2? I don't want to watch the entire thing again from the beginning (due to time constraints.) but I want to see what I missed and wiki episode lists doesn't say where that arc starts from.

The final arc of Season 2 begins with the episode 'Nullzilla,' but it gets a lot darker from here on in.
