Ladies and Gentlemecha, it is time to embark on yet another season of Fantasy Baseball. Like seasons before and seasons that shall endure, I am putting on the annual call for owners. But this year has abit of a twist to it. I am hosting my game on ESPN.com. And this is not going to be your ordinary run of the mill clash of the statistical catagories, no. Instead we are to journey into the world of head to head points. Thats right, with the new ESPN model I am able to create the league scoring based on points for different statistical actions.
And now for the momment that we have all waited for, I am looking for dedicated owners to step up to the plate and take control of one of these sweet deal teams. If you are interested go ahead and post it here or give me a PM... Hurry while thou can, avaliable teams are very limited.

err no, its baseball this time of year. I don't fancy ninja baseball or hockey or anything else Ninja antics in Baseball. This is a deeply involved league where partisipation is highly encouraged. Hell this may expand to a keeper league that will last for seasons... one never knows.

But for baseball, I mostly follow the AL (Go Tigers!)
Well this is a broader league where both divisions are involved. You can focus on Tiger players, though it may not exactly win you many championships. But its still going to be damn fun. You'll get a shot at matching wits with several members of the board as well as in other areas of interest. Its going to be exciting as we evolve to a 3 year keeper, if not longer.

I played with an All tigers roster last year before I knew that they were going to do good in another league. I doubt I'll be able to get that roster this year so I'll pass. Unless you need an extra owner.

By the way, Alpha Strike, who do you think will be Oakland's top starting pitcher this season? Most of the mags that I read say it's going to be Rich Harden, if he can stay healthy...

If he can stay healthy then he is easily the best pitcher in the A's organization. He has some of the best pure stuff in the league in nearly every scouting report from all of the teams that have been interviewed. But as you said the problem is that he's way to injury prone. Thusly at present Danny Haren is the top A's pitcher followed by Harden, Blanton and if you want to go into the farm system look at Windsor and McBeth.

In exactly six days from today the first volley of Spring Training Games will kick off and Baseball will start once more. Which are the teams to beat this year, who's the front runner for Rookie of the Year? Discuss here for early predictions.

I'm interested in seeing how Boston and Toronto do, since both teams look dangerous in the AL East. Toronto's got more fire power with the addition of Frank Thomas, and by signing Wells to a long-term deal they could probably win 80-90 games for the next couple of seasons.
I'm curious to see how Daisuke Matsuzaka works out in Boston, and if he lives up to the hype. With Papelbon moving into the starting rotation, the Red Sox's weakness may be their closer position.
Both teams will probably not finish with a better record than the Yankees, although if Boston were to get Roger Clemens, it would give them the edge.
Of course, I'm rooting for my Tigers. Curtis Granderson looks mighty improved and may have a breakout year.
The Baseball Preview mags have the Tigers finishing anywhere from first to fourth in the loaded AL Central, with the Indians finishing better than they did last year.

Clearly you lack taste. Ninjas are AWESOME. And by AWESOME, I mean TOTALLY SWEET.

Its what makes most AL East Teams a pain in the butt. I doubt the Blue Jays will make the Playoffs because of the two flagship franchises in that division. (yes I still advicate having the Redsoxs swap places with an NL East Team) I want to see how my A's recover from the loss of Thomas and Zito. Predictions have them getting second place, but the A's tend to show an amazing ability to overachieve.
