Recently i decided that after 12 years i had had it with the useless punching gimmick for Optimus. The chest was swinging constantly and the locking plug in his a** does not lock his body properly.

after removing his head i had to break the plate that covers the gap in his neck when his head is folded up. If not done it will constantly flip back upwards and interfere with placing any screws in there.
Afterwards i used a small drill to give clearance for a screw and then used electric drill to force the screw down. May it was my luck but depending on where you make the hole your screw might interfere with parts inside but for me i have no rattling sounds, just a minor distortion in his chest. Unfortunately the screw is damaged so i cant attempt to rebalance it but its a minor issue.
