Thought that occured to me while talking to some friends on the IM. I've heard some complaints that the Cassette Deck/Boombox alt is now classed as a rare alt, no doubt in preparation of the upcoming alt. rotator. Right now, the deck is considered a Weapons alt, though we all know that a boombox is technically not a weapon.
The thought I had to make the boombox a more common alt is to reclassify it as a Communications Alt, along with the Cassette Tape, since both are more suited that role than a weapon. I have no idea what tactics they would use, possibly some new ones, so I'm open for ideas.
Any expansions on this? And anyone's free to use this thread as a suggestion thread for new alt classes with new tactics for them. I do know the staff is working on new alt classes; just thought I'd get my idea out before I forgot about it.

I was giving some thought to what kind of attack/"Tactic" a cassette could have & I came up with:
"Loud Music"
Effect: Stun & minor circuit shorts (minor damage)
Effect Details: Attack works similiarily to Strafe, but weaker in damage plus the first target of the "Strafe" is effected by a weaker Stun (like Ram, but weaker)
"Rewind transforms into a cassette and blasts loud music blasting Dynamax blasts Soundwave, blasts Spidertron."
"Dynamax is slightly damaged & Stunned (96% power remaining), Soundwave is slightly damaged (98% power remaining), Spidertron is lsightly damaged (97% power remaining).
Just ta thought

"Combat Vehicle" - Identical to the tank. So vehicles like Onslaught, Swindle, Ramjet, and the LRV Warthog can ram/strafe without being called "tanks". It's a semantic thing, but Glyph said it would be a relatively simple thing to do.

Obviously i love any Cassette idea. An idea that was bounced aorund a while back was to see if we could find a way for the cassettes and tape decks to combine, whether its for a repair, an extra strafe or to do somehting new. Its would be a good way to try and introduce something like that to the game.
Or: A 'Minion' Tactic.
Effectively, its the same as strafe.
The TF could call forth a 'pet' of some description which would set upon an enemy attacking it for a turn before returning to home (and dissapearing until next called up by the tactic).
This would probably be a cassette ejecting from a tape deck, but could also be an Armada style minicon, a human ally with a big gun, a bunch of Stormtroopers/GI Joe/Micromasters/Zombies/Gelatenous cubes/Erica Campbell fanboys, what ever you decide to call them.
At its core, its basically an 'eject cassette' tactic for the masses. I'd suggest it was unlocked and fed by Rank if not applied to a tape deck though. (More authority = better troops to summon)

For a cassete/tape recorder I like the idea of confusion, where if a Bot targets the Con tape the confusion tactic would make the Bot miss and instead hit a Bot on his own side. It would be a defensive tactic like avoid but would also aid your team. The Bot player would get he xp from hitting his teammate but, like avoid, the Con cassette would get xp for the tactic use.
