Uh ... wait, so he has a giant hole in his torso now? Had I seen that I wouldn't have preordered it. Feeling buyer's remorse now ...

The only bright spot is that I'm now convinced they'll make a replacement waist and chest peice. Because this new set makes the figure look incomplete.

When I ordered mine back in June, the confirmation email I got said it would ship August 31 but haven't heard anything since. Same thing happened with the last Devy set and I got it just right after his cdmw-08 review so I expect it any day now.

BBTS sent me an e-mail earlier this morning that it was in, I think I ordered mine late June.

I'm a little upset with this upgrade, I'm really hoping they make another upgrade and do his right arm and fit some piece over the waist articulation piece then he would be good to go.

I was dismayed myself about the gaping hole in his waist myself. I can see why they photographed Devastator from the angle they did. It didn't show the hole. The next set will probably come with the other shoulder bracket along (hopefully) with new chest and hip armor and maybe that will cover the waist hole. I am not entirely sure I like that shoulder bracket either.

Definitely the weakest offering yet. That shoulder piece seems totally pointless and puts Scavenger at an awkward angle, doubt I even take that out of the package. I'll echo everyone else and say I'm not cool with that gaping hole in his torso. I actually like the purple cement mixer best out of the set. I'm betting they release a couple of more sets for Devy. I'm sure they are going to do new versions of the chest wing and the waist piece, hopefully they will address the hole with those. If they want to make something that 's truly useful, make some sort of foot plate for Scrapper. My G1 Scrapper is kind of floppy in the shovel and arms making it hard to pull of the leg mode. Maybe a clear plastic "foot" plate to solidify him.

You know ... right now I dislike Crazy Devy's ads more than ever. Most of the time the end result is really good, but this was just plain hiding a flaw. And it'd not happen with any other 3rd party company ... or a Hasbro / Takara product.

Same here that shoulder bracket doesn't look good on him, for me it will be left in the box. They should have made it a little smaller or something it just makes his arm sticks out way to far.

I gotta agree with all of this. New chest and waist armor, after everything else they've done, is almost inevitable.

And I think almost everyone's Scrapper is loose. ;) I'd go for a clear or even green-colored plate for his foot.

For that matter go ahead and make a foot plate for Mixmaster to, that would add an elongated heel. Foot plates would greatly enhance his stability. Especially one to solidify Scrapper. I'm not talking about anything like what Fansproject did for Superion or Bruticus adding the big chunky feet. Just some flat clear or green plates that wouldn't change the overall look of Devy's feet.

Yeah, that'd work too. I've got my redone Devastator leaning up against the wall on my shelves because he's pretty damned finnicky standing on his own. I do not wanna come home from work and find him lying on the floor in pieces.

Highly disappointed! Had I known he had that gaping hole in his waist I would have skipped this one. The arm attachment makes no logical sense to me at all. Well, at least Mixmaster will have a purple barrel. Sigh. Unless they've got something in the works to cover the waist up, I'm out.

Meh, the hole in the waist doesn't really bother me as it's something that's always been there and was simply covered up by the chest wing. I think the waist and mixing barrel are great, but the arm piece could have been much better. They should have given the arm piece for scavenger a ball joint instead and done another one with a ball joint for bonecrusher as well(both of which I plan to do myself).

Just got mine today. I'll be using the purple drum and the arm joint, but the torso piece is right out.

This is the worst set in a while, it's also the cheapest set in a while.

I still don't see the big deal. The hole was always there, the only reason why you can see it now is cause the plate makes the upper torso higher revealing the hole.

lol That was actually pretty funny :P

My point was that while it is a lot more obvious now, it's not like it wasn't always there. They'll probably release something else later on to cover it.

I think you explained my issue with the situation quite well.

Yea that's fair. Honestly though, I'd rather deal with the hole and have the Articulation.

I really like their stuff for Devastator. I knid of hope they do one more set to deal with the left arm, but I'm not sure a chest plate or other piece is necessary.

That's why I find the hole so troublesome, there's just not much they can do to improve it.

Edit (kind of): I'd be interested in another chest piece that more properly balances him.

Weapon: Switch Blade Tail
The head? Cool.
The forearms and hands? Okay.
The hips? Pretty neat, actually.
The waist? Terrible. That giant gap is just ridiculous.
The right arm piece? Absolutely pointless. What good is a stationary piece in a set that's supposed to make him more posable?

They need to update the wing, or make an attachment that allows it to sit lower to help cover the gap, and they need to make the right arm a swivel point.

Their sets get more worthless with each new idea.

Well, the arm piece is helpful due to the weight of the gun.

OK, so I have to admit to something...

Upon further review, this set sucks. It sucks hard.

That arm piece does not allow for 45 degree movement, it FIXES the arm at 45 degrees. I didn't realize that. Forget this crap.

No more floppy Scrapper for me. Just need to trim them down so they're less visible and paint them green.

Yea, the arm piece is the absolute worst part of the set. I'm currently working on modifying it into a ball joint so I can have real articulation. I still don't mind the gap that much, I just lift the flap on Long Haul up and it makes it at least a little better.

still waitin for it to get here. all im hoping for is that the bottom part of the head clip included does a better job of holding hook than the vintage part does with the new devy head attached. as it stands now, i have to use twist ties to keep hook from falling out.
