I wonder, has this been done before? I couldn't find that thread.

How many out here are fans of Lockdown? This con has a lot going for him. A well-drawn animation model, a great toy, one of the best voice actors you can find and a well-scripted character, so much that it's hard not to be a Lockdown fan. Dialogues like these are a class act-

"Just one problem: I AM the vehicle"

"Mr. EMP! I'm not very good with names..."

"Are you 'bot enough?"

Even Swindle, in his only appearance, was quite memorable. He seemed even better written than in G1, though a little over the top. A pity this show's been taken off and replaced by Bakugan Battle Brawlers...

I like Lockdown. While most of Animated's personalities are over done and kiddy Lockdown is not one of them. As for his show design, I think it's pretty crudy; The Lockdown toy is kinda cool but just not so great and very generic; but the personality is what counts.

I can't stand Swindle, he's just a pain in the neck. Typical over done Animated character. His design in the show is pretty cool as with the toy, but the his head is just horrible looking.

Animated isn't done it's just on hiatus until season 3 starts.

I'm aware of that, as well as the discussions about Season 3, but I'm talking of the Cartoon Network broadcasts here. Some other shows are repeated a lot more often...

I like both of them Swindle is my second favorite charater and Lockdown is my forth favorite charater.

Both are great. I shall talk about both of them without provocation.

Lockdown: First off, awesome name. His voice actor (his name escapes me but no one needs to tell me it) is so perfect at capturing the essence of a bounty hunter. Also, he's a bounty hunter which is the most bad ass job ever. Some can't pull it off right tho (I'm lookin at you Dog "the bounty hunter" pfff).

Swindle: Fred Willard is great as Swindle. Any connection that can be directly made to Anchorman AND Billy & Mandy is a cool thing in my book. Swindle is such a sleazey salesman. Always trying to earn an extra...buck? I forget how money works in Transformers. Anyhow, yeah. Great. Can I have his toy now?

I kind of like both of them. Lockdown has a cool voice, awesome-yet-freaky personality, a great alt mode (in both toy and show), and a cool robot form, at least in the show. His toy robot mode is a bit of a letdown, though.

Swindle's okay, but I don't think he really shines.

Is Lockdown based on the DC character Lobo? I saw this character for the first time in an episode of Superman and the similarities were striking- white faces with black lines and red eyes, both bounty hunters, Lobo's hooked metal rod looking like Lockdown's...um...hook, both bounty hunters and also their appearance- Lobo with all the outlandish metal plates and Lockdown with...um...upgrades. I haven't found any claims of inspiration, or claims suggesting otherwise.

I guess this is an older thread but since it just got bumped, I'll play

I feel the same way about Swindle...I don't mind the character and the toy is pretty cool but I HATE his head! It totally ruins the whole thing, it's so goofy looking...

Lockdown is all sorts of cool though...Great and menacing character without being just straight up and over the top evil...And Lance Henrickson does a fantastic job voicing him and I'm glad his role has recurred...
