I'm trying to plan relatively early this time around, but I remembered hearing something bout BotCon being in early summer this time round...which would **** me over....do we have ANY confirmed BotCon '08 news?

Not much just a possible date of spring sometime, June maybe. Other than that nothing new. botcon.com updates every so often so check that out if you haven't already.

The world's biggest Transformers convention, currently run by Fun Publications under license from Hasbro. Hosted by different US cities from year to year with guests, panels, a banquet, exclusive toys and exclusive comic. I'm sure that I'll be corrected if I'm wrong but I believe that the current format is a three day event.

That'd be AWESOME! I could actually make it up there! All the past ones I have seen have been on the east coast, and I just cannot bring myself to haul my big butt out there...too expensive and too far! Chicago is nothing but an afternoon road trip!

Florida seems to have been the hot rumour so far. We'll just have to wait and see. It shouldn't be too much longer before there's some kind of announcement on this, especially given that it's supposed to be early in the year.

ARGH! If it is in Florida, I will most definitely not be able to go...east coast once again...well southeast coast anyways...still too far and too expensive....drat!

Well nothing's definite as yet, as I said above that's just the rumour at this stage. I have just had an update email from Brian at the Collector's Club though that had a PS to the effect that date and location details would be released "soon". Of course given that the first Club exclusive toys ended up delayed by almost a year what soon means from these guys is anybody's guess.
