I was getting pretty sick of not having proper tech specs for rare and Japanese characters, so I have embarked on a project to make my own.

I have box art from Botch's boxart site, and character descriptions and summaries from Prime Saber's Japanese TF character pages. I will also make use of the Vector Sigma Database from here when necessary.

Proper quotes are pretty much non-existant, so I made up my own. I also embellished on the profiles when the existing description wasn't clear enough. I tried to remain faithful to their portrayals in the series, but it's been a long time since I've seen them, so I may have gotten them wrong.

If anybody sees glaring errors, please let me know, but otherwise, the personalities I've come up with are what I'm using. And remember, not even the US cartoon got the exact tech spec personalities right, and sometimes not even the comics, so I figure I'm free to fudge a little.

And finally, I am very unfamiliar with the new comics. Starting with the original Dreamwave comics from 2002, I am in the dark. Pretty much all the new comics, so if the Japanese characters are in them, and I missed the mark, let me know.

I've analyzed tech spec ability values because I use them for my toy battles. Weak characters have stat totals in the 40s, average characters have totals in the 50s, superior characters have totals in th 60s, and only the best have over 70 (with 80 being all 10s). This is for G1, but it seems fair. Some other series are unbalanced, like RID being 60+ for most characters (Build team has 7+ for most stats, for example). Good job for your first two, except possibly less speed for Black Zarak (he's a huge base). Hope this helps for any other character you spec!

Thanks for the input, but I go by the provided spec values when at all possible. The VSD has BZ at those numbers.

The funny part, I originally had him at rank 1 since he's completely under Devil Z's control, but then I decided that didn't matter because Devil Z is of course rank 10, so the VSD version still worked.
