so when soundwave and blaster fight to the death, soundwaves cassettes pick up some of his pieces and get him ressurected. Blasters cassettes mope around and declaire they cant fight anymore.

The bots just give up, while the cons go out of their way to save someone.

Soundwave's cassettes know that without him they have no protection from the other Decepticons.
On the otherhand, and a little known fact, but prior to the battle, Blaster had been experimenting, and listening to many different types of music. Sadly around the time, he had been listening to a number of emo bands. The Cassettes, pretty much forced to listen to whatever Blaster himself listens to, had no choice but to become depressed and whiny in the aftermath.
Had they not rebuilt Blaster as Twincast, it's possible they would have ended up starting a band and touring as the opening act for Fall Out Boy.
