Greatest countdown ever? (Top 100 NES games)

IGN has yet another countdown that has caught my attention; the top 100 NES games of all time.
http://www.ign.com/top-100-nes-games/index.html
Now this list seems like a bit much since there were a slew of NES games made, and there are already several (but not many) games on this list I've never even heard of.

So I decided to open the flood gates to your predictions on the top ten. Here is my prediction:

10. Final Fantasy (hard to say if this will beat out Dragon Warrior or not, but I think it will)
9. River City Ransom (just because it's an 8-bit cult classic)
8. Duck Tales
7. Super C (Contra 2)
6. Castlevania 3 (the only awesome NES game I don't own)
5. Ninja Gaiden 2 (best NES soundtrack; hands down)
4. Punch Out
3. Mega Man 2
2. Super Mario Bros. 3
1. Legend of Zelda

It may not be a prediction, but this is what I'd like the top 10 to be:
10 - Contra
9 - Mega Man II
8 - Ninja Gaiden
7 - Ninja Gaiden II
6 - Destiny of an Emperor
5 - Star Tropics
4 - Legend of Zelda
3 - Final Fantasy
2 - Castlevania II
1 - Super Mario Bros. 3

These are the only reason I still have a NES hooked up.

Oooo...Star Tropics! Good one! I'd say this is a pretty solid top 10!

I'm not sure if these will make it into the top 100, but I have a few honorable mentions:
Kung Fu
Ninja Gaiden III
Double Dragon II
Metroid (can't believe I forgot this one)
Rygar
1942
A Boy and His Blob
Battletoads
Bionic Commando
Goonies II
Life Force
Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Skate or Die II
Spy vs Spy
TMNT (the original one)
Super Mario Bros I and II

I think that its time for me to make a trip to a used game store. Damn nostalgia......

Some good ones there. I too forgot about Metroid, but then again I didn't play it very much even though it's a Nintendo series. I'm almost certain it will be in the top ten since it seems IGN is basing its countdown on the impact games had and not necessarily how good the game actually is. I'm not saying the original Metroid isn't good, the Metroid series just didn't appeal to me until Super Metroid was released.

I'm interested to see where Zelda II, Castlevania II, and Super Mario Bros. 2 end up on the countdown since they were departures from the canon of their series.

Zelda II - 21st
Castlevania II - 25th
Mario II - 18th

After looking through all of the list, there were so many great games that I had totally forgotten about. At least most of my favorites were on the list somewhere, even if they weren't in the top 10.

Most of my favorite games were in the top 20, and it was nice to see one of my favorite little known games, Metalstorm, made the list. I loled at the Micro Machines game making the top 40! :o That was an addicting game that I had completely forgotten about!

I was a little disappointed to see Ninja Gaiden II score kind of low in the countdown. And one of my favorite cult classic games, Clash at Demonhead, didn't make the list at all. :?
