Starscream wrote:So I woke up late and missed the Best Buy figures! So I called back to Iowa and luckily a friend was willing to check on his lunch break. Turns out they had a TON of these at the MOLINE, IL BEST BUY.
Here's the weird thing, my buddy said that a Best Buy employee told him to come back later in the day because they would be putting out Optimus and Thundercracker.
I told him that is most likely a mistake because it would've been announced previously. Then he tells me the underside of the boxes show "ALSO AVAILABLE: Optimus Prime and Thundercracker".
So those figures will most likely be the next two that will received the metallic re-finish. As far as them appearing at your local best buy "later today", don't count on it.
Rhapsodyred99 wrote:best buy in roanoke va had plenty as well. I was amazed at how much better megs look all shiny so had to get him even though i had gone only after ratchet.
As far as the OP and TC, yeah i saw em on th ebottom of the box, bu tthe BB employees said they knew nothing about them.
Starscream wrote:my friend is going to check again after work, he is adamant that Optimus Prime and Thundercracker will be there. He is not a TF hunter though, and was obviously mislead by some employee.
He is making the trip though, not me, and if he should happen to be right.......... ;D
Good luck to all that are trying to find these awesome figs!!!
Prime vs Wild wrote:I was at my Best Buy when it opened (I was afraid they would go quick) and they had 8-10 of each figure. I didn't stick around to count, just grabbed Megatron and the movie and left.
Weird thing was, there were some other people waiting on the store to open but no one else stopped at the TF display.
Ploptimus Prime wrote:Best buy sucks. They only allowed one fig per customer (which is good actually) so my freind couldnt pick one up for me at store open. I managed to get to a best buy at noon, and they and every store in the city were sold out of them in 5 minutes. Most of the stores only received FOUR of each figure!!! Yet they have the balls to put it in the weekly sale ad... I HATE when companies do that (I'm looking at you, CompUSA).
I asked if any more were getting put out later today, he said no they sold all they had. He said there are another 3000 total at the warehouse (though this was coming from some pimply-faced blueshirt a**hole, so who knows if it's fact), and that they may get some more at some point.
Screw that. I've had it with having to treat TF collecting like going on a safari, having to hunt the stores 4-5 times per week in the hopes of finding what I want. I jumped on ebay and paid the scalper scumbags $30 for a best buy megs. Hasbro is seriously pushing it with me. This "exclusives" bulls**t is seriously angering me. Try keeping your "non-exclusives" stocked and on the shelf first, geniuses.
